Warrior[edit]

The Warrior is a class that uses melee weapons to deal out heavy damage and fast kills. The warrior can kill every class in less than 5 seconds with this set of gear, and is usually easy to use, but be careful to avoid ranged projectiles.


Armor

The mask gives 19% added melee speed, with 7% melee damage with the greaves. It also adds 27% plus movement speed, making speedy movement easier, if used at all.

Accessories

All accessories should be menacing, making for an added 20% damage on everything. The Warrior Emblem is an obvious choice, raising melee damage by 15%. The Obsidian Shield, Wings and Spectre Boots are practically mandatory for PvP, or just anything. The unfilled slot is just for whatever suits you best. Anklet of Wind is good if you want to move fast. Band of Regeneration adds constant health regeneration, good for running and/or hiding after taking damage.Philosophers Stone is very useful for boss fights. Feral Claws Can be quite useful, and is good for slower weapons like the Dao of Pow. The Titan Glove is only useful for mobs. The Feral Claws is most likely your best bet, but if you want to play more defensively go for the Band of Regeneration.

Weapons

The Excalibur is your primary weapon. It is your close-range weapon of easy kills, just be wary of its short range. Make sure it has the prefix Legendary. The Light Discs are incredible. Basically, they are a ranged Excalibur. The Dao of Pow is stronger than the Excalibur,and has about the same range as a light disk, but is much more tactical. Give it the Godly prefix. For usage as a main weapon, it takes major getting used to. The Gungnir is only useful for mobs, and the only possible use for PvP it has is stabbing through one-block spaces. Make sure it has the Godly prefix.

Potions

The healing potion is used for anything and everything. The bowl of soup is just a pleasant boost to all stats. Ironskin Potion is a nice defense boost and also cancels out the defense drop from Ale. Regeneration potion is like a band of regeneration, just in a potion. Swiftness potion is a great 25% speed boost. Thorns Potion can be a surprise to other melee attackers who aren't using it. Ale is a great boost of 10% melee damage and 10% melee speed, and the defense drop is cancelled out by the Ironskin potion.

Overall

The overall damage percentage boost, if done correctly, should double all of your melee weapon damage. Your Excalibur does 95 damage. Your Light Disks do 67 damage EACH. Your Dao of Pow does 98 damage. And your Gungnir does 82 damage. This is incredibly powerful, and kills anyone in about 5 seconds, even with maxed defense.

Ranger[edit]

The ranger is a class that generally uses weapons that do ranged damage in combat. Rangers utilize the range of their weapons to deal damage from afar, and generally try to avoid close combat. Bows are generally the first type of ranged weapon a ranger will aqquire. A bow shoots arrows, and is therefore a very versatile weapon due to the versatility of arrows. All bows are craftable, and all are very effective. The hard mode equivalent of bows is repeaters, which can constantly fire arrows and are stronger. Some rangers use consumables, such as the shuriken and spiky ball. Most consumables are useful early game, but become increasingly harmless as the player encounters stronger monsters. Guns are the third major type of ranged weapon, and fire bullets. Guns are the most varied type of ranged weapon. Some players find some guns to be exceptional, while others may consider that same weapon utterly useless. Like the warrior class, a new player will find the ranger class effective, though it requires a bit more strategy. This can be more accurately called an archer/marksman.


Armor

The mask gives 25% chance not to consume ammo. The plate mail gives you an added 7% critical strike chance. The greaves give you an extra 7% damage, and also add 8% added movement speed, so speedy movement is easier, not that it's needed much.

Weapons

The Sniper Rifle should be your primary. The Sniper rifle has the a highest damage per shot and, explosive round are the best for this gun. The Flamethrower is good for large, close range mobs. The star cannon is the most powerful of all, but fallen stars can be difficult to gather in quantity. The Sniper, and Flamethrower should get the unreal modifier; while the Star Cannon should get the demonic modifier.

Rogue Angel[edit]

The Rogue Angel is a high speed high agility hit and run type class. It's called a rogue angel because it's a combination of rogue(fast class) and has wings. This class is good against other classes due to its high speed making it harder to hit. Be careful though depending on your setup, you may be able to take a hit.

Mage[edit]

The Mage is a class that uses weapons that does magic damage in combat. Mages use the rapid-fire abilities of their spells to flood the enemy at either long or medium range. Mages have very low defense, making their only option to kill their enemy before being killed themselves. Being a Mage is not very viable until you have access to Hardmode materials. The many spells available in the game allow multiple Mage sub-classes to exist, including support and stealth options.

Armor

The headgear increases mana by 80, reduces mana usage 17% by and increases magic damage by 16%. The robe gives 7% increased magic damage and critical strike chance. The pants give you an extra 8% magic damage and movement speed

Accessories

All accessories should be warding for 20 extra defense. The Sorcerer Emblem is a clear choice, raising magic damage by 15%. The Celestial Magnet gives 15% increased magic damage and increased Mana Star pickup range. Wings and Spectre Boots are practically mandatory for PvP, or just anything. The mana flower automatically costumes mana potions when you run out of mana, giving you one less thing to worry about. The unfilled slot is just for whatever suits you best. Wings can increase your mobility, and thus your survivability. The Mana Regeneration Band can help if you have time to escape and regenerate.

The Mana potions are to ensure you never run dry of Mana and become defenseless.

Weapons

The Razorpine should be your primary weapon. It launches a rapid-fire blast of highly damaging pine needles that have medium range. The Blizzard Staff is good for defending, as you can target an area through walls. The Rainbow Rod allows you to attack enemies with precision without sacrificing damage. The Inferno Fork is an excellent weapon when your enemy is trapped in a narrow hallway because the fire explodes around them, doing massive damage. The Crystal Storm is in case an enemy gets close to you and you don't have much mana left. All the weapons should have a Mythical prefix.

Hybrids[edit]

Most everyone in pvp won't choose a single class, but try to incorperate multiple weapon classes into a single character.For example, the most useful made against a mage melee would be the range mage.

Melee Mage[edit]

This is for players who generally spam magic until they run out of mana, then go in for a melee attack.

Melee Ranger[edit]

This is for camping rangers, sometimes known as human turrets. Often holed up in a safe location, sniping from an opening and when someone tries to go in to eliminate said turret, gets a mouthfull of mêlée. This is what some people call a "true ranger" because they would stay back and shoot and when someone got close they would drop their bow (figuratively)and whip out a blade.

Range Mage[edit]

This is similar to the melee mage, except when you run out of mana you switch to a ranged weapon.

Triple Class Mash[edit]

This class is recomended for players that are sure of what class or Hybrid to pick. This allows players to kill the enemy depending on the situation. It allows players to use Meele, Ranged and Magic classes to experiment and kill your opponent with various weapons. one second you could be a weak warrior, the next, your an expert archer or a powerful mage. The thing about this class is that you can customize it however you like.
