The Slime Crown is used to summon King Slime, a Boss-type enemy. While King Slime can spawn randomly at any time without the use of a summoning item (though only in the outer two-thirds of the map, laterally), the Slime Crown summons King Slime instantly, in any location. Trying to summon a second King Slime while one is already present will instantly kill the player. The Slime Crown can only be crafted at a Demon Altar.

Notes

• The Slime Crown is a fast way to farm the Ninja Clothes, given you already have enough resources to make several of them, because Slime Crowns are consumed upon use.
• It is less resource consuming to use a Battle Potion and hold a Water Candle in the outer 2/3 of the world in order to spawn King Slime.

Bug: Occasionally, King Slime will not be spawned after using Slime Crown, despite switching to boss music, and after a while the music will change back without a notification. This is confirmed to happen in both Multiplayer and Single Player.
