Merge[]

I don't think this warrants a merge, since they have two distinct roles and even look different. --JonTheMon 18:27, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Same here,don't merge,instead remove request.--MadPedro 18:44, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
Alright, if you say so. It just makes sense from a content perspective and would clean up npc info. You don't have separate pages for wild wolf and tame wolf in Minecraft. --12.16.164.205 18:56, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
I say Merge them into one page! But have different sections on the page!-Jrrj15
Keep separate It doesn't seem logical to merge them. Just because the Clothier implies he was the Old Man doesn't make them the same. The NPC IDs are different; the places at which they are found are different; their dialogues are different; their roles in the game are different; etc. As far as game logic goes, they are separate NPCs and should be treated separately. The Minecraft wolf argument above doesn't matter at all given that this isn't the Minecraft wiki and, really, does taming a wolf in Minecraft requires defeating a boss and then building a house for the wolf? --Gez 10:19, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
We should remove merge request by the way,Thanks gez.--MadPedro 16:44, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
I should also like to bring up how this ISN'T Minecraft. Their roles in the game being different, as said by Gez, is all the reason you'd need to keep them separate. Or at least, the greatest reason anyways. I think the request should be removed --Jabnin 18:46, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, even if it was a fact they are the same person, they represent two different entities, with different roles. Kind of like Kerigan and The Queen of Blades. Kind of like Sheik and The Princess. happypal (talk • contribs) 19:22, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Damage and defense[]

Where did these numbers come from? As far as I know he has no attacks so if somebody got this value from the games code it was just left in as filler and really doesn't need to be on this page. Also since lava does 100 - (defense/2) damage wouldn't his defense have to be 200 to take 1 damage from lava? --Moxxy 15:32, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Trivia: Old Man from Zelda[]

Should it be noted about the similarities between the Old Man of Terraria and the one of the original Zelda? Sharing the same name, and a similar appearance. --Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.74.124.153 (talkcontribs)

I think it's more of a Pokémon reference, because there's also a character called Old Man and they share no other similarities whatsoever. Could also be a reference to my grandfather, because he's also a man and happens to be old. --Lunboks 10:59, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Dialogue with him[]

so how does he determine how strong you are? he called my 240hp guy decked out in shadow armor worthless (I then kicked his ass anyway lol).but my char with maxed everything and molten was good enough to free him apparently. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.196.231.164 at 19:18, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Possible Incorrect Info[]

"Thus, Skeletron can only be fought once per world" Can not the Clothier Voodoo Doll be used to spawn him more than once? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.31.188.62 at 23:13, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

You are correct. I removed the incorrect sentence for you. --71.55.136.208 04:57, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
