Added the note about the Wood Platforms not supporting players under effects of the Gravitation Potion to the bug section. Not necessarily a bug per se, as they're designed to allow the player to pass upwards through them unimpeded. Thought it was worth a note when I suddenly fell upwards to my death in my own fortress. - I would think that this is the intended effect because platforms are programmed hinder only downward movement. Gravity potion doesn't change the orientation of a platform. Down never changes to the rest of the game world. --ChaosNil 13:44, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
It have seen, sometime the platform can be placed like a ramp. The condition to reproduc this are unknow to me. --antoinor 00:29, 08 October 2013 (not UTC)
Proposition[]
I have a proposition for this page, which does happen to coincide with the various cleaning up I've been doing of the Furniture section.
My proposition is that we move this page to Platform (which I assume is currently a redirect), and use that page for all of the platform variants (including the dungeon shelves) instead of having different pages for each, since all of them are functionally identical. This will allow us to save space on the Furniture page and make finding the pages much easier.

Climbing Platforms[]
Regarding my recent edit:
Players will automatically climb up a block in elevation to a platform when moving into contact with a lowered/alternate platform one block above the destination platform. By placing a column of two platforms and inverting one side of the column, this happens continuously, creating an upward-only elevator as shown here: Youtube - Elevator Technology
This was the best explanation I could come up with regarding some of the oddities involving half-height platforms, as climbing is not limited to the elevator described on the page.
