Worm Food is used to summon the Eater of Worlds at any time of the day, but only when inside The Corruption. Due to the relatively easy fight provided by the Eater of Worlds, Worm Food is noticeably more expensive and time consuming to produce than its Crimson counterpart, the Bloody Spine, as despite both requiring a powder, a larger variety of Crimson creatures drop Vertebrae, which, makes it slightly easier than always trying to target flying creatures and worms.

If Worm Food is used when the Eater of Worlds is already in the world, it will deal ~10,000 damage to the user.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Although the Crimson is equivalent to the Corruption, using Worm Food in the Crimson will not do anything.
    • It is however still possible to summon the Eater of Worlds in a world that spawned Crimson by artificially creating a Corruption biome (with Corruption-related blocks from another world), and then use the Worm Food within that.
