The Gills Potion is a buff potion which buffs the player with Gills. The buff grants the player the ability to breathe underwater. This last for 2 minutes, but can be cancelled at any time by right-clicking the icon.

Notes

• Being submerged in lava no longer causes you to run out of breath, thus negating this potion's usefulness for that purpose. Should you have Obsidian Skin potions, you may stay for as long as you like in Lava without needing to surface, providing that you remember to refresh the buff every so often. Prior to 1.2, it was possible to drown in lava even with an Obsidian Skin potion, making the Gills potion more useful.
• It has the same crafting recipe as the Sonar Potion.
