The Honeyfin is a consumable fish that can be fished from honey found in Bee Hives within the Underground Jungle. Other than the Bumblebee Tuna found during Angler quests, Honeyfins are the only fish that can be caught in honey. They are used to craft Seafood Dinners.

Tips

• Honeyfins are the most effective healing potions that can be obtained without entering Hardmode. It can be worth spending some time fishing to build up a supply of them.
  • On the  Old-gen console version,  Windows Phone version,  Old Chinese version, Nintendo 3DS version, and  tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version, Greater Healing Potions, which restore more health than Honeyfins, have a chance of being obtained from Golden Crates, also obtained by fishing, without entering Hardmode.
• Because they are the only non-quest fish obtained from fishing in honey, they can be an excellent way of stocking up on Seafood Dinners.

Trivia

• The Honeyfin is one of three fished consumables, the other two being the Frost Daggerfish and the Bomb Fish.
