Magic weapons

Magic Weapons are weapons that use Mana, a resource that regenerates. They can produce several different types of attacks, many of which are more unusual, rather than simply firing a directed projectile, which makes them more capable of unexpected or strategic attacks.

In the table, "Type" refers to an attack type from the list below.

Attack types

• Direct weapons produce a projectile that flies straight in one direction. They generally dissipate after a collision, a predetermined distance, or a number of ricochets. Some may produce several spread projectiles.

• Homing weapons produce a projectile that seeks out a nearby enemy.

• Bouncing weapons produce a projectile heavily affected by gravity, which fire in an arc, as a bow and arrow might travel. When colliding with objects, they ricochet a number of times before dissipating.

• Controlled weapons create a special projectile that the player can "click and drag" to control and direct into targets or to light dark areas. These prevent mana regeneration for as long as they are controlled. Rapid clicking allows their use as ordinary projectile weapons.

• Area Effect weapons produce a lingering area-of-effect that damages any enemy within, or that passes through, for its duration. These weapons can pierce unlimited enemies, so long as those enemies touch the given area. Some of these are capable of affecting areas through blocks.

• Minion weapons summon minions, secondary characters that follow the player and aid during battle as an added attacker. This is the only type of weapon which consumes mana, but doesn't deal magic damage.
