The in-game animation of a pair of Spectre Boots.

The Spectre Boots are an Accessory item made from Rocket Boots and either Flurry Boots or Hermes Boots, and combines their functionality. When used like the Rocket Boots, the particle trail is a line of white/blue clouds that leave a trail that lasts a few seconds, though it does not produce lighting. Equiping both the Spectre Boots and the Cloud in a Balloon nullifies the particle animation.

While both the Spectre and Rocket Boots can be equipped at the same time, their effects do not stack. However, they do stack with the effects of Angel Wings and Demon Wings

The Spectre Boots also do not produce the sound of rocket boots, hence the name, and also seems to use the Hermes Boots "dust cloud" animation. Also, the light produced by the rocket boots are lost when the Spectre Boots are crafted.

If equipped together with Wings, you will not see the particles but the wings will last longer.
