Bottled Water is crafted by hand from Bottle while standing near a sink or a body of water. This will not lower the water level. It is not required to be directly in a body of water to create this item; you only have to be close to it, like other crafting stations.

A common mistake is to try and use the bottle on the water, like a Bucket. This will not work. You must go to the crafting menu (default: ), while standing near water.

Bottled Water heals you for 20 Health instantly when used, and triggers the Potion Sickness debuff. This will not give you the empty Bottle back. Bottled Water is also used as material to craft a wide variety of Potions.
