Candles
"Pumpkin Candle" redirects here. For the pet summon item, see Pumpkin Scented Candle.
The Candle is a piece of Furniture that produces light. It can be placed on Tables, Platforms, Crates or Work Benches. Candles will produce light underwater if placed, and can be toggled on and off by mechanisms.
The Water Candle is a special type of candle found in Dungeons. It increases enemy spawn rate by 33% and maximum number of simultaneous on-screen enemies by 50% when placed or held, and can be turned off ( ). Multiple placed candles do not stack, but the bonuses from holding and placing a candle do. The Peace Candle reduces enemy spawn rate in contrast to the Water Candle.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- The Water Candle can be placed underwater.
- The Water Candle will not give off light underwater if held in one's hand.
- The Water Candle's effects stack with those of the Battle Potion and the Blood Moon.
- The Skull Lantern appears to be the "bone" version of the candle, and its most notable difference is its size. While candles measure 1×1, the Skull Lantern measures 2×2. The Skull Lantern cannot be toggled on and off with mechanisms.
- The Large Dynasty Candle, despite its name, is not a candle but a candelabra.
- The Cactus Candle somewhat resembles the Pink Prickly Pear.
