Seaweed is a pet-summoning item which summons a Turtle pet that follows the player, like other pets. Seaweed can rarely be found in the Underground Jungle's Jungle Shrines or Living Mahogany Trees. On the PC version PC version, Console version Console version, Mobile version Mobile version, and tModLoader version tModLoader version, it can also be found in Jungle Crates and Bramble Crates.

Notes[]

  • The Turtle pet will use a propeller to fly to the player when out of reach.

Trivia[]

  • On the Mobile version Mobile version and Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version, there was a coding error where the Seaweed (junk)Seaweed obtained from fishing would have the description of the pet-summoning Seaweed.
  • The pet turtle is a reference to Tank, a pet tortoise from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This has long been suspected by members of the community, and on May 17th, 2021, Redigit confirmed this to be the case.[1]
