The Pirate Captain appears during a Hardmode Pirate Invasion. They are immune to the Poisoned, Venom, and Confused debuffs and are immune to knockback. They use a gun with shooting speeds comparable to the Minishark, stops firing for a few seconds and fires a cannonball. The cannonball has a short range, and can be easily avoided by keeping a distance or by standing on a platform of solid blocks.

- Only one Pirate Captain can exist at a time, but multiples can spawn over the course of the invasion.
- It does not attack if there are solid blocks in the way.
