Deletion[edit source]

who deleted this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 11:51, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Projectile images[edit source]

I noted that for many of the projectiles, the included image is not of the projectile itself, but of a related item or mob. Should I change this to actually show the projectiles themselves? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vegeta5968 (talkcontribs) at 00:34, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

I'll do it. --SzGamer227 (talk) 22:08, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

Negative IDs[edit source]

The variation of tools that are claimed to not be directly accessible via an ID do in fact have an ID, it's just negative. Is there a reason against or any objection to adding these to the list in lieu of the sub items (i.e. Gold,Silver,Copper pickaxe)? --Ja450n (talk) 11:48, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Yes, there's a problem with it. Negative IDs are not helpful, and item IDs need to correlate with the image files that come with the game. Things like basic ore broadswords and pickaxes all share the same ID and the same sprite, so no. I'll see if I can change it back. --SzGamer227 (talk) 09:11, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

Split page[edit source]

Maybe this page should be split up into the various different catagories. Having practically every single image on the wiki loaded all on one page seems to be kind of a bad idea. --GauHelldragon2 (talk) 16:03, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

I have been thinking the same thing for a while. I'll guess I'll split it up right now. --0icke0 (talk) 16:08, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Who Changed This?[edit source]

The Data ID page use to be perfect. Everything was in order with their CORRECT data ID. Now these numbers are duplicated. It use to go from 1-600whatever and now everything is divided in to seperate groups. I would like to change it back to the way it use to be, if anyone has any objections please address them here otherwise I'm correcting this page. Someone took the liberty of butchering this page without asking anyone, I would like to take the high road and actually ASK if anyone has a problem with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 19:08, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

It's better this way. The information is organized and correct, and you shouldn't be so harsh. Just leave it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 21:04, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
EDIT: The duplicates are due to duplicates in the code, where multiple whatsits are under the same ID due to similarities in functionality. I assure you, everything you are complaining about has a purpose, and reverting those changes would be counterproductive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 21:13, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

Pet IDs[edit source]

where are pet id? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 02:34, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

where are their ids? they aren't listed in the npc or anywhere else i can find—Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 02:54, 12 May 2014‎ (UTC)

Hmm, pet IDs seems to be missing... the second best is probably their IDs as items, in the Item IDs list. Making a pet ID list should probably be a priority. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 04:02, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Upon closer inspection it seems pet sprites are actually treated as projectiles. Here I've made a list for the ones I found. It isn't complete, but maybe it can still be of help. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 23:00, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Merged Page IDs[edit source]

As I've been adding IDs to as many pages as possible, I've come across some problems with listing the IDs on pages that represent more than one item. It's easy enough to add IDs to pages like Candy Cane Block that only represent two items, pages like Jellyfish Jars that have a simple range of IDs, or pages like Thread which have multiple infoboxes. But there are pages like Lamps which have their IDs spread all over the place, pages like Shadow Orb which use an NPC infobox instead of an item infobox, and pages like Grass that don't even use an infobox at all.

While it would be possible to list every single Lamp's (or other merged pages) ID, doing so would be quite unseemly. Should there just be something like "Item ID: Varies", or would some sort of more elaborate listing be needed? The people who use these ID values are limited, so this would obviously be low priority, but it would be nice to have for the sake of completeness. --KM100 (talk) 00:00, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

It'll be easy enough to add ID fields to NPC boxes for uses like Shadow Orb when needed. The recipe lists are a little more involved but I managed to cobble something together. See Lamp for a test run. Feel free to add ID parameters for recipe items; the display can always be tweaked later through the template code, if need be. Equazcion (talk) 00:51, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Someone add tile 315 (coralstone block) to the tile list[edit source]

I don't want to mess with it myself because I will most likely screw it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) at 00:17, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Item ID 53, Cloud in a Bottle is missing[edit source]

I would add it in myself if I felt I was competent enough. I believe this is the only missing item. MonkeyPeak (talk) 10:21, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

Good catch, thank you! Thanks to Ferretwings and Westgrass, it should show up now. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 14:25, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
