Can a gold butterfly replace a hell butterfly?[]

- According to the
PC 1.4.0.5 source code, it can only replace a regular butterfly, one with an NPC ID of 356 – so no, it can't. You're right, hell bait critters' spawn mechanics are treated separately. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 23:37, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
