WoF's Hungry Vs. Inferno Potion[]
I have the 3DS and Nintendo Switch versions of Terraria. In the 3DS version, I was doing terrible against the WoF, so I just slapped on like 10 potions. The Inferno Potion absolutely wrecked the Wall Of Flesh. This is because The Hungry are susceptible to the On Fire! debuff, and the potion rendered them completely useless. I haven't tested it on the Switch, but I believe that this should be added to the tips section. This is likely very OP (if it works anywhere else) as The Hungry are spawned and immediately die on contact with the ring, making the fight much easier. Thanks for reading this! Numbers?[]
Does the inferno potion act similarly to the On fire debuff? How high is the fire damage, what's the duration of the fire after enemies leave the AoE, what enemies are immune to it etc etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.239.152.172 at 08:08, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- as far as I've discerned, it's identical to On Fire in duration, damage, immunity...heck, it's just a ring that inflicts On Fire and a measly bit of damage. It's about as useless as the Flask of Fire, sadly, which is stupid considering how hard it is to get. - 68.117.21.124 08:43, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Blocks projectiles[]
The buff from the potion blocks the vile spit of Eater of Worlds among other projectiles. This makes fighting EOW above ground a whole lot easier in Master Mode.108.21.2.16 06:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

PvP functionality?[]
Does the inferno potion work in PvP, and if so do the Obsidian Skull and its variants prevent its damage?
