Time control[]

Does time control's increase function makes time 24× longer or shorter? And what is the average time from 1× to 24×?

Journey Mode support for items[]

I believe the amount of researches for each item in Journey Mode should be presented on item pages or category pages. For example, all weapons and tools require only one duplication, same with armour and accessories. Also, bars of ores can be duplicated after researching 25 of them, or 100 ore blocks for raw ore. 114.72.13.21 00:38, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Unreasearchable Duplication?[]

Instakills do work or don't?[]

If you get hit by a boss/enemy that instakills (Empress of Light/Skeletron Prime/Skeletron during daytime or a Dungeon Guardian) while in Godmode, do you die or you don't? (Commented by user:Okokup) (talk) 19:07, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

From my experience using Godmode,you take no damage whatsoever, and it's possible to actually survive a dungeon guardian hit without godmode, if the player has an astronomical amount of defence, full health and has used a health boost potion. From this, it seems the insta-kill effects simply deal such high damage that most players would be oneshotted, so, no, you won't die from the dungeon guardian or skeletron/empress of light during the day. 114.72.13.21 00:35, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Where is research saved?[]

Is duplication research saved with the world or with the character? If it is world-dependent, do new characters to an established world have access to duplicate all researched items? If it is character-dependent then when an established character goes to a new world, do they take their research unlocks with them? How does this affect Multiplayer? I.e. A new character in an established world with established characters / an established character in a new world with new characters.

A concrete example being: If I research a Water Bolt and then take my character to a friend's new world, can I duplicate Water Bolts there for them? Can I invite a friend into my established world and they can duplicate a Water Bolt for themselves?

It is confirmed character tied, you can hop between worlds and servers without having to research again. Shyskream6284 (talk) 14:18, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Unfeatured Duplication explanations[]

In the research section, there are no explanations how much Critters, Boss Summoning Items (except Prismatic lacewing), Relics, Trophies, masks and consumables are required to research. Journey mode only banner[]

Better prefixes?[]

I have been playing a lot of journey mode recently and I noticed how often I got Godly modifiers on items I acquired for the first time, as well as constantly getting really good modifiers for other things. Does Journey Mode have any affect on modifiers? It seems like it does, but I think we should verify. ---Mystictortoise64 (talk) 03:51, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

Torch God Research[]

I noticed that the Torch God's Favor amount required to research was "n/a". I didn't know how to fix this so leaving a comment here for somebody who does. It has the correct information on the item page.

Is journey mode on xbox?[]

So i saw that this game was bringing journey mode to it. Considering that i have been waiting for something like this forever, im pretty scared to find out that i cant find the option anywhere. Journey mode & "Drunk world" seed for every item possible in one world?[]

Is this the best and only way (1.4.0.5) to get every item possible from just one world? It has both world evils, can spawn both evil Mimics, and the dungeon has both evil Biome chests, and every fishing quest is possible, correct?

Bosses not dropping their Treasure Bags[]

Most bosses I fight don't drop their Treasure Bags. The bosses that don't drop their bags, end up dropping one of the items that come from them. But some items never drop, some of which I need. Is this a bug or a feature? PotborplaysGD (talk) 23:49, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Did you correctly set the Enemy Difficulty Slider to 2× for Expert Mode or 3× for Master Mode? Otherwise, you won't be able to get Treasure Bags since they are exclusive to Expert and Master Modes. --Dinoxel talk 00:45, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

Time change for travelling merchant still works or..?[]

   EDIT: I just looked, it says this in the 1.4.1 changelogs:
   "Fixed an issue with Traveling Merchant spawning when time was paused with Journey powers"

Very easy infinite money[]

So I've noticed that if you can find a single gold chest, empty it, mine it then research it, you can sell stacks of them to the merchant or other vendor NPC for like 10 gold for a stack, even more sometimes. I think this is a bit overpowered as if you can find any gold chest quickly you can buy literally anything, with only a few clicks. there might be an even faster way to get infinite money, but gold chests are what I've found so far. (Hopefully I've done this right, it's my first entry ever in a wiki.) GaiaAlexF (talk) 17:27, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Well, journey mode itself allows you to duplicate even platinum, so it's not TOO much of a worry. Though, that would be useful to get UP to platinum instead of spam clicking coins to duplicate up to platinum. MeggalBozale2 (talk) 18:45, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

is 2.95 expert really the hardest difficulty?[]

I've done some research on which difficulty is the actual hardest. I turned the difficulty to 1.50 normal difficulty, I then casted a fishing line to summon duke fishron he spawned with 75k health, I then did the same with 2.50 expert, he actually had a lesser 72500 (I believe) health. I then went up to 2.95, he spawned with 88500. I lowered it to 1.95 normal and he spawned with 95000 health!!! I want to edit the article but not without some permission first try for yourself. side note, you have 2 less accessory slots in normal than master
