move[]

OK, I don't know why this one is in "Shrines" and not "Shrine". happypal (talk • contribs 08:19, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

I'll be understanding silence as lack of disapproval, and be making the move shortly. happypal (talk • contribs) 07:41, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Shrines in Lava[]

Shrines can spawn in lava pools and, if the shrine is submerged enough, will not have a chest.[1] Yes, I took the picture. And yes, I was disappoint. --Nicoli20 01:25, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Hum, Burns objects, but not the environments? I can see both grass and tall grass in that lava... happypal (talk • contribs) 07:40, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, that is quite strange. I also wonder if falling or placed lava can destroy pots, chests, and so forth.--Nicoli20 14:39, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Not just made out of iridescent brick[]

I've had jungle shrines made out of gold brick, and in one case, tin brick. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=186353753 Toastwise (talk) 04:53, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Confirming this. I've had several made out of different things. One was even Mahogany wood. It's not even though, Iridescent bricks seem to be the material a large majority of the time --71.55.136.208 05:01, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I've seen lots of Tin and Rich Mahogany shrines, but no Gold or Iridescent. Most likely the material distribution varies by world. 24.179.112.177 01:04, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Underground jungle houses can break jungle shrines.[]

I couldn't screenshot it, but I found a jungle shrine with an underground jungle house built partially in the shrine.

The shrine did not contain a chest(the house did, but it was not an ivy chest) 87.178.74.253 07:40, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
