Damage over 9000 ???[edit source]

After 1.1 update I decided to challenge Skeletron. When ive got rid of both his hands the head killed me instantly with 9094 HP. Exactly like the guardian does. Probably it was about the end of night. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.107.73.67 (talk) at 05:37, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Once day comes, he keeps spinning and does damage in a similar amount to the dungeon guardian. Skeletron Prime does the same thing, although he also gets the high defense as well. Anonymous132547698 (talk) 16:46, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

Video?[edit source]

Maybe we need a shorter video for this... maybe another from odysseygamez http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQVu0Z0h93s Its much shorter (i swear its not mine :P) Casperk 01:17, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Blue[edit source]

I wish people like Snardly B.G. would fucking check the official website before making snobby uppity sounding edits like " (One random person's offhand opinion in a Let's Play doesn't matter.) ". Blue's not just a fucking developer, he's the goddamn Production Manager: - http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/blue-now-has-twitter-account.186/ - http://twitter.com/#!/Terraria_Blue Didn't really need to post this but I hate fucktards who edit like they know better than everybody else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.19.57.45 (talk) at 07:22, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

No Unique Drops After Killing via Clothier Doll[edit source]

Has anyone gotten Skeletron to drop anything besides gold coins, hearts and potions when farmed via the Clothier Voodoo doll? I've killed him two nights in a row now (near my town) and gotten nothing off his unique drop table. -- Camelotcrusade (talk) 00:47, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Actually I did get one of the unique drops on my 2nd try. -- Steam User: Token63. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.125.26.132 (talk) at 13:44, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
2 nights in a row? You think 2 nights is friggin enough? I had to wait 5 nights before I got a Skeletron Trophy. Funnily enough it was the time when I decided to aim for the head and make sure that the hands were still alive when the head died. I then attacked the head another 5 times with no special drops. Then I decided to kill the two hands first then the head. On the first try at this new strategy I got the Skeletron Hand which is a pretty nice grapple hook. 1 or 2 tries later I got the Book of Skulls. Now I just hope I can get the Skeletron Mask :)

I only got my skeletron hand and book of skulls with farming him with the voodoo doll. 108.186.6.218 08:17, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
It's pure chance. The drop rate is the same for each kill; each time you defeat him, you have a 10% chance of getting the trophy. Yo may need to defeat him 10, 20, or 30 times, or you may get the trophy on the first kill. If I remember correctly, it took me more than 12 kills to get all his loot. Curiously, the mask was the most difficult for me to get. --Ferretwings (talk) 23:58, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
I just got a bunch of worlds and beat Skeletron a bunch Ha ha ha well Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 22:03, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Skippable?[edit source]

Is it possible to entirely skip Skeletron to get to the Moon Lord?

Sure, it's not recommended because the Cobalt Shield is pretty important, but I'm talking specifics here. From what I can tell, you don't get anything necessary to progress from it or the Dungeon. The Post-Plantera Dungeon has some useful things, but again, nothing necessary.

I've read somewhere that defeating Skeletron is necessary, but I don't really see how. Unless the Cultists simply fail to spawn if the Old Man is still around. Nixitur (talk) 18:21, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Knockback Resistance[edit source]

I saw the part in the article about being "head-locked", so I decided to equip my obsidian shield. That didn't work. Btw, I already defeated Skeletron normal mode and I wanted his expert mode drop. There's nothing in the Skeletron article about the cobalt shield not working. Is this supposed to happen? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.68.132.25 (talk) at 10:22, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

npc 35 is Skeletron
item 1281 is Skeletron Mask
item 1273 is Skeletron Hand
item 1313 is Book of Skulls
item 1363 is Skeletron Trophy
item 3323 is Skeletron Treasure Bag
item 3245 is Bone Glove

It sounds like Skeletron has a 1/7 chance to drop either Skeletron Mask, Skeletron Hand, or Book of Skulls (in Expert Mode, one will always drop from the Treasure Bag). Am I missing something? – Ferretwings (talk) 18:52, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

Killing skeletron on day[edit source]

Does it still count as a kill? Dumbpoopface444 (talk) 22:44, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

"Killing Skeletron after the night ends will still count as defeated, which opens the Dungeon.", in Notes section. So yes. If you kill at day and doesn't open the way to the dungeon, then this claim can be removed (feel free to verify this). Alternatively, you can edit it to be clearer if it wasn't clear enough. -- Murrayzero (talk) 22:57, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

Skeletron seems impossible[edit source]

I can’t seem to ever beat Skeletron I play on mobile and I have a lead chainmail and helmet as well as a full health bar (none of the hearts are gold) and a full set of iron armor and tons of weapons but I still can’t beat him Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 22:23, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Get Shadow armor or Crimson armor. You can craft them by defeating Eater of Worlds and Brain of Cthulhu respectively (you don't even need to, even a half fight will net you materials needed to craft). Also check out Guide:Skeletron strategies if you're still having trouble. -- Murrayzero (talk) 22:38, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
Thanks I only got I crimson but i soloed him ez Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 23:34, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
