Do snow globes have a chance of appearing in presents dropped in hardmode, or presents opened in hardmode? (Read strictly, the page currently seems to say opened, but I don't think it was written with that distinction in mind.) --Manxome 22:32, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- It seems the content of a box is randomly determined the moment it's opened, not dropped; however, a snow globe can be used in easymode worlds.Devieus 23:16, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- Snowglobes do drop on non hardmode worlds. It may be that the drop chance is higher on hardmode worlds however.86.155.16.76 02:07, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- I, too, can confirm that the Snow Globe can be acquired in a pre-hardmode world, as that's where I got my first one from. So, why are people constantly changing the page to say it only drops in hardmode after someone else edits the page to say it DOESN'T?--Pikaguy900 22:13, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I just had a look at the code, and it's clear that Snow Globes can't be unpacked at all unless the world is in hardmode. It's literally "if (random chance && hardmode) then Snow Globe". No other relevant reference to item #602 anywhere. --Lunboks 22:20, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Snowglobe disappearing after quick stacking[]
i thought it was a coincidence but after trying it again i think i can confirm that snowglobes disappear if you quick stack while holding one and if there is another in the chest
Self Summonable?[]
The wiki says the Frost Legion can be summoned on their own in a Snow Biome... is this true?
- No, that's not true at all. The Frost Legion is only summonable through use of a Snow Globe. I'm surprised something like that slipped through the cracks. --Gearzein (talk) 21:49, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
there are more ways of getting them[]
You don't need it to be christmas If you finish the snow christmas invasion with the naughty present, you get them dropping for a whole day (you actually get a whole christmas themed day in the game where everything works like it does in christmas time)
so you can get presents outside of christmas time, should be noted.
