Trivia rollbacks[edit source]

Before resorting to protection or blocks, please put the reason for the revert in a summary first. If they see only a rollback, they might not actually understand why their edit is being considered invalid, or even that you're enforcing a rule rather than being arbitrary/opinionated. I created the trivia redirect so it would be easy to point to the trivia rules during undos. Thanks. Equazcion (talk) 23:10, 20 Jul 2015 (UTC)

If you're referring to The Meatball, that's a strange case that admittedly may be me being paranoid (and by extension acting in bad faith). Certain patterns, particularly the editor's immediate change in IP to the next available in the range, just lead me to believe that this is someone I've dealt with before. This may just be indicative that I handled it badly then too, but hey. Gearzein (talk) 23:23, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
It's definitely possible trolling. This does refer to The Meatball, but also other trivia-type rollbacks that I've seen be explanation-less. It's good to have a descriptive edit summary on the record either way for any particular situation, especially before other measures are taken for further such edits. Equazcion (talk) 23:34, 20 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Duplicate images[edit source]

If you're deleting all the duplicates uploaded for the Chinese translation, know that Noyastary has already uploaded a bunch also. Equazcion (talk) 03:41, 21 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Jeez. I'll take care of those, but apparently Curse's servers are overloaded or something and can only handle four deletions at a time. Batches take a while, so in the interim between deletions, I'm writing up a general notice on the Chinese translation project page, since it seems to have picked up quite a bit of steam in a short time. Do you think that'd be a solid idea, and if so do you want me to run it by you before I publish it? Gearzein (talk) 03:51, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
There seems to a language barrier preventing them from really understanding the notes we've been giving them about how this is supposed to work -- so I'm not sure that the notice will help, but it might. You can go ahead and post it, I may edit it afterward. Equazcion (talk) 03:56, 21 Jul 2015 (UTC)
Well, I'd assume that translators could speak both languages well enough to communicate ideas fluidly from one to the other, but there does seem to be a breakdown in communication somewhere. It feels like there might just be more of them than we can account for, so contacting them as a group may have some effect that individual notices can't. It's worth a shot, I figure. Goblin Summoner[edit source]

Discussion moved to Talk:Goblin Summoner -- Equazcion (talk) 23:39, 23 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Let's take a breath here. Things may be getting heated but InfiniteMarioMaster hasn't engaged in any personal attacks or even attempted to re-institute the edit while the discussion is ongoing, so there's not much reason to "take action" (assuming Gearzein meant administrative action).

  • The Goblin Summoner was the only hard enemy added to the Goblin Invasion in 1.3, so like the Flying Dutchman, it should be considered a "boss" or "mini-boss". It also drops several unique/powerful items. Several Youtube videos refer to it as a boss.
  • The Goblin Summoner's design doesn't offer any traditional clues to it being boss-like, such as a Trophy (it drops a Banner instead), spawn/death messages, large size, multiple parts or forms, or astronomical health/damage; so it shouldn't be referred to as a "boss" or "mini-boss".

This, I think, is where the evidence stands, so let's not repeat those anymore. Declaring that "I'm right" or "You're wrong" is never helpful, and if that's what the discussion has devolved to, it's time to let it sit and wait for other opinions. I'm going to leave a note at the community noticeboard to try and attract new participants, and I'm also going to move this entire discussion to (Talk:Goblin Summoner), which might help emphasize that this discussion is about the game and not about any particular editors. Until some new people have had a chance to discuss this a little, I would ask that neither of you (plus myself) post any new comments to this discussion.

PS. InfiniteMarioMaster, if you could sign your comments, it would help us out. Instead of saying "From IMM" at the top, please place four tildes at the end of your comments ( ~~~~ ) which will automatically place a standard signature there. Thanks. Equazcion (talk) 23:28, 23 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Translation assistance[edit source]

I want to help turkish translations. How i do translate pages? Cgndz (talk) 12:41, 23 July 2015 (UTC)?

I've left you a message on your talk page. Gearzein (talk) 18:42, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Email[edit source]

Do you have an email address I could contact you at? If you don't want to announce it here you can enter it in preferences and enable the email option, which will hide your actual email address. Or if you don't want to do that either let me know. Thanks. Equazcion (talk) 16:42, 24 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Turns out I had an email on file, I just hadn't confirmed it yet. You should be able to contact me now. I hope I'm not in too much trouble. Gearzein (talk) 16:49, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
Nah nothing like that. Thanks :) Equazcion (talk) 17:02, 24 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Cultist Trivia[edit source]

Is it possible to edit a new trivia about cultists origin or would it refer too much to the first topic? -prometheanrazerPrometheanrazer (talk) 00:33, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

If you're referring to this revert then there's no problem strictly with adding a new trivia piece. Most of why it was reverted is that it completely overwrote the meaning of an already sourced trivia point. If the intention was to remove or contest that point by suggesting another origin, the fact that the current trivia links directly to a developer comment makes that impossible.
The other reason it was reverted, though, is because Lovecraft doesn't have sole claim to the idea of a cult, and it's incorrect to say that "cultists" alone are a Lovecraftian allusion, much less a creation of his. I expressed as much in the edit summary for that revert. If that's the trivia you're re-adding, it'll likely be removed again before long if it's not significantly reworked in meaning- even if I leave it, someone else will inevitably contest it, just because of how much of a long shot it is to outright say that Lovecraft invented cultists and that they exist primarily in the context of Cthulhu. Gearzein (talk) 00:42, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Bugs[edit source]

Are the bug lists gone from the wiki articles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by EstebanLB (talkcontribs) at 17:34, 27 Jul 2015 UTC

Yes they're gone. Equazcion (talk) 17:39, 27 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Map viewers rollback[edit source]

I understand the rollback of the edit made to the TEdit section since it's mostly a fork and I really didn't like linking to a Dropbox URL for the binary package. It was mostly so people actually could get a 1.3 compatible version until BinaryConstruct updated the original. What I don't get is why the previous edit was also rolled back as it only included updated version of the other tools, and a few new links to the developer's GitHub page (although I did made a mistake linking MoreTerra to CodePlex). Actually, now that I write this down, I think there might have been quite a few mistakes leading you to believe it was all wrong. But I checked again and the rest was accurate so I'm wondering if I can reinstate the updated versions (except for TEdit) or if the rollback actually stems from something else? Lepaperwan (talk) 09:15, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

I reinstated your version updates. Have a look and check if any of those errors you mentioned are still there. Thanks :) Equazcion (talk) 10:04, 28 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Hoverboard speed boost[edit source]

Where did you get that 233% value from? Equazcion (talk) 19:16, 28 Jul 2015 (UTC)

I don't recall adding that value myself. Gearzein (talk) 19:44, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
Apparently you didn't, I somehow confused your last revert for that. My mistake. Equazcion (talk) 19:49, 28 Jul 2015 (UTC)
It's worth noting that Icke was the one who made those changes. They're probably not just pulled from nowhere- I'd ask before removing them. Gearzein (talk) 20:57, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
That was actually from when he reverted his own erroneous edit, see User talk:0icke0#Wings. The value was there from a while back, not sure exactly when. In my test the speed was almost exactly the same hovering vs. diagonal. Equazcion (talk) 21:04, 28 Jul 2015 (UTC)
My mistake this time then. Gearzein (talk) 21:56, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Penetrating Weapons[edit source]

Sorry, my bad. 23:32, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Hey there![edit source]

I've noticed the notable amount of work you put into this wiki. It's impressive; it seems to me you're currently Terraria Wiki's most dedicated admin. As such I'd like to thank you for your contributions! I used to be very active here myself; though I don't have as much time anymore I still drop in now and then to edit a bit. If there's something you'd like some help with then do feel free to ask! NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 20:11, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Aw, thanks! I wouldn't say I'm necessarily the most dedicated- maybe the most stubborn, but the quality of the work put into keeping this place running outshines my efforts to keep it clean. At the risk of sounding like boilerplate, the wiki needs all the help it can get. I'm familiar with your work (mostly because you have the most vandalized userpage on the entire wiki) and it's cool to have experienced users who know their way around and still care enough to contribute.
I'm actually pretty busy myself lately, so my presence is limited too. Even so, as a sysop, I can extend you the same courtesy. I can't actually say that I'm at your disposal for admin stuff, as that's tantamount to collusion, but if you ever need someone to churn out a long, droning paragraph, you know where to find me. Gearzein (talk) 07:09, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

Just a question about walls[edit source]

Hi Gearzein, I would like to know if it's important to put on blocks and walls pages in "recipe" and "used for" the same reversed thing ? -- Dinoxel discussion 17:46, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

You're asking me personally? If I had to say, I think it's pretty stupid in terms of functionality, but there's not a quick and clean way of demonstrating that they can be crafted both ways. It can't be treated as a blanket statement, because not all walls can be crafted into a block.
Someone did suggest treating crafted walls as subsections of their host blocks once, that might work. Gearzein (talk) 04:49, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
Ok, if I well understood this should be put only on the block page ? -- Dinoxel discussion 12:47, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks[edit source]

Just happened to notice a lot of your edits lately (could be a time zone thing, shrug... I'm at UTC+8), so just popped in to say good job and thanks! Eh, I guess I'm in a nostalgic mood lately. - Spinfx (talk) 12:04, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Thanks! I'd also like to congratulate you on the work you've been doing around here, particularly with the guides. I'm way busier than I used to be lately, but I try to keep up on what's going on around here, so if you need any help with things, feel free to let me know. Gearzein (talk) 04:13, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Icon links and Dragon armor IDs[edit source]

I've run across a few things I'd be glad if you could help me out on:

  • I think the platform icons - Desktop version, Console version, Mobile Version - would serve their purpose better if they included links to their respective articles. Here is the markup needed (for copy-paste) if you agree. Note that I've also added two categories.
  • desktop:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="Desktop version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    console:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="Console Version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    mobile:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="Mobile Version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    iOS:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="iOS Version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    Amazon:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="Amazon Android Version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    Android:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="All Android Versions"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    Google:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="Google Play Android Version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    Windows Phone:
    <abbr style="border-bottom-width: 0; cursor:pointer;" title="Windows Phone Version"></abbr><noinclude></noinclude>

    • Some time ago I made the hassle with adding item IDs to mobile version items. I was unable to do this with the Dragon armor as it, for some reason, has its own protected page for the armor pieces.
  • Dragon armor/Stats:
    {|
    |-style="vertical-align:top"
    |
    |
    |{{armor infobox

    Seaweed Reference[edit source]

I hadn't seen the wiki rules. I have now read them, and I apologize for my behavior. I should have checked to see if there was a list of rules before attempting to make edits. That said, I do still believe that the reference is an accurate one, according to the second bullet point which is that if no developer confirmation is available, it must be an "undeniable" reference. That is, of course, a tricky word, but the definition given is that "most players are likely to agree it is obvious." I think this does describe the reference. When I first saw the propeller, my first thought was immediately of Tank. I pointed it out to my friend, and he said that it had been his first thought when he first saw the turtle as well. According to the page's edit history, the reference seems to keep coming up, meaning that we can't be the only two; it seems like an obvious reference to the people that keep editing it. In addition, there is a reference on the Party Girl page (cited to one of the developers) saying that she's based off of Pinkie Pie, who is also from My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. That's not a reference that I would have seen as obviously as Tank, Doctor Bones, etc., but it does show that at least one reference to the show is in the game. Superstars111 (talk) 06:50, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

This discussion has been had before, and I've made my standing on it clear in what is honestly an embarrassing level of detail. Just as many users have removed this point as have added it, so it's clearly not consensus. I don't even necessarily mean that to disprove you- even if I allow it this time, it'll be removed again by someone else, and this same debate will begin and end inconclusively for a fourth or fifth time because everyone would rather fight it out through debate than just get the proof that would settle it once and for all. I'm not actually the one demanding a source, nor are the rules- if you don't have something enforceable, it's just going to attract the same kind of controversy. Gearzein (talk) 08:24, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

thank you i did not know this i am new at this wiki thing been playing for two years but just got into hardmode (i didnt know about the wall of flesh)

    Help![edit source]

Gearzein, how do you delete pages? Some people are creating random pages that have absolutely nothing to do with Terraria. Example: Stan Lee. Please tell me how. LordofEditing (talk) 19:59, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Only sysops have the ability to delete pages. People vandalize wikis all the time, and there are plenty of users who do sweeps for it and get rid of it. The Stan Lee page was taken care of days ago by another admin, and I personally do a check for nonsense pages once a day if I can. If you'd like, you can add a delete template to these pages to flag them- this is recommended over commenting on a talk page, because that too must also be deleted. That said, there's so many other means of weeding them out that you can realistically just wait and they'll disappear before long. Gearzein (talk) 20:57, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

    Version notice templates[edit source]

So there is some slight issues with those boxes I mentioned. You seem like a hardworking admin, so I figured you could get someone on the job fixing those boxes. The fixing I speak of is the tag type things that let you know what platform items and other such things are available on. For example, I play majorly console. On the current update, I can get glowing snails and truffle worms, but the link box says that are PC only content. I would attempt to fix this myself, but I have no idea how. Thanks for your time 75.162.130.19 19:45, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

If I missed another comment of yours I apologize, but I haven't seen any other mention of this issue so far. In any case, the version change is fairly recent, so some items may not yet note that they've been added to the mobile and console versions, but be assured that these items are being updated as they're found. In order to remove these tags in the future, just remove the desktop only template in the editor. Both the Glowing Snail and Truffle Worm pages were fixed by another user over a week ago, however- if you're still seeing them as PC exclusive, it may be a caching issue on your end. Gearzein (talk) 19:58, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

    Horned God set[edit source]

At one point you were talking about how you wanted to get the Horned God Set. I got multiple of these. The drop chance was about 1/300, should I change the page? --HoulyDoggy (talk) 04:28, 17 January 2016 (UTC)HoulyDoggy

I've answered your question on the Community Noticeboard. Please continue this discussion from there. Gearzein (talk) 05:13, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
Hello, I'm a moderator from TCF and I've actually talked to the head of the Engine Development team and he told me it was supposed to be a 1/7 chance for each item to drop. I'm not sure if he has the time but if you'd like I could request he post publicly about it on TCF. --NikeLeon
Given your position, I'll take your word for it. Gearzein (talk) 01:07, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. The drop chance seems to still be wrong on the mech loot tables. I generally use my phone for browsing so editing those appears impossible. Perhaps you can revert them to my earlier edits? NikeLeon (talk) 11:57, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

Console version of Frost Armor[edit source]

Hello. I'm not familiar with the console version of the game and therefore can't verify if this edit was proper. The recipe says it is for mobile and console versions, but the removed text indicated otherwise. I don't know which is correct, and am hoping that you do know. Thank you. SWAdair (talk) 03:36, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

The Mobile and Console editions should be up to date with the 1.2.4 PC version, in which frost armor is crafted using hallowed bars and a frost core, meaning that the split recipes are correct. The removal of the text is also correct, as it is outdated information that refers to the older means of acquiring the armor as a direct drop from an ice golem. Everything is in order. Gearzein (talk) 04:25, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

    Curse Produced Videos[edit source]

Hi, have you had a chance to look at the Cellphone build guide script? I saw some changes had been made, but I want to confirm that it's factually accurate before entering production. Thanks! Aengelmann (talk) 17:45, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

Sorry, I haven't had any time to look at it. Work has ramped up considerably lately and I have had nearly no free time for the past several weeks. I'll set aside some time to take a look at it this evening. Gearzein (talk) 01:10, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

    Plantera Page[edit source]

I just recently added something to the Plantera discussion page. Hopefully you don't mind reading it?

    Guides[edit source]

Hey, i saw your comments on the Guides page and wanted to tell you that i have some time and am willing to help rewrite some of them to make them more clear. I would just need some guidelines for writing since in a fairly new to the wiki. Anyways, if you could use my writing skills, there here.Haaliea (talk) 16:10, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

I'm having a hard time saying this without coming off as snide, but in short: you're looking for the contraction "they're" for "they are", as in "if you could use my writing skills, (they are) here". I commend your enthusiasm, but those comments are relatively old. We have an arrangement with our hosts at Curse to have videos made for most of the guides now, and it's moving along rather nicely, so any assistance will be unnecessary. Gearzein (talk) 03:34, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

oops. I just looked back at the dates for that discussion and realized it was from last year. Well, if you think of anything else I could help with, I have nothing to do for the next two weeks.Haaliea (talk) 16:28, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

Aren't Thrown Waters also Thrown Weapons?[edit source]

The Thrown Water page links to the Thrown weapons page, yet the waters are not included on the Thrown weapons page? --Ferretwings (talk) 22:21, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Nevermind... I see you've updated the Thrown Water page. --Ferretwings (talk) 22:29, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I think I remember removing them once before, or having a conversation about them, or something, but it's been a long time and I don't exactly recall. I probably don't have to explain, but they don't receive bonuses from Ninja or Fossil armor so they aren't capital-T Thrown weapons.
That said though, since they are weapons that are thrown, and non-PC versions of the game don't have Thrown as a damage type, it might be advisable to re-add them. If you have any thoughts on this feel free to share. Gearzein (talk) 22:53, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Please say why you undid my trivia.[edit source]

It would be good if you could say why you reverted edits, I added some trivia info and you removed it without giving a reason, I want to know what I am doing wrong so I won't do it in the future, as from what I'm seeing I am just adding harmless information to pages. --Terrariaguy102 (talk) 19:03, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Your information was relatively harmless, but that's part of why it was removed- it doesn't actually say anything. The tips and trivia you've added to these pages aren't constructive or novel, and are either matters of opinion or obvious facts. For example, the trivia you added to Excalibur, which I am about to remove, is just a comparison of the stats of a handful of other related swords- and not even a numerical comparison, meaning that a reader would still have to look up those pages and do the math themselves anyway. These sorts of observations can be made by any reader, and it's not necessarily the wiki's place to tell people the way the game should be played, so these sorts of edits are usually removed.
I hate to put it like this, but trivia edits are under the most scrutiny, as trivia sections themselves are always in a constant state of dubious usefulness as it is. Since trivia either has to be sourced or obvious, most of it is already relatively stable, barring some major breakthrough that reveals something we aren't already aware of. Not adding an edit summary is a bad habit of mine, but it's largely because there are numerous layers of existing policy, as well as common sense, dictating that this information doesn't have much of a point. The Copper Shortsword is the first weapon in the game, and the first sentence of its page clearly states it to be the weakest sword. Adding to a section to reiterate with different words that it also has the lowest base damage among swords is not only needlessly redundant, but implies that the editor that added it is adding for the sake of adding rather than actually trying to make the page read better. Gearzein (talk) 01:10, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Ok, thank you for making this clear, I will take this information into consideration when adding trivia. --Terrariaguy102 (talk) 18:51, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
On second though I'll refrain from adding trivia for a while, to save you having to undo them :) And instead I'll fix any grammar/spelling mistakes or poorly worded sentences I come across. --Terrariaguy102 (talk) 19:02, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

    Confused[edit source]

Why do you keep reverting my edits on the Strange Brew page? Is this something that is written frequently? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheGoldenNinja258 (talkcontribs) at 05:35, 22 Mar 2016 UTC

See trivia rules. This type of thing is posted frequently: People state that something in the game could be a reference to something they saw somewhere else, just because the two look or sound similar. It's resulted in piles of fairly useless information in articles, such that we basically now have a rule against it -- except in some of the most obvious or verifiable cases. Equazcion (talk) 10:57, 22 Mar 2016 (UTC)

I Made a small edit at Bubble gun page[edit source]

I Changed one part into the Bubble gun, the part i changed is "Its best modifier is Godly." To "It's best modifier is Masterful". Due with this modifier, you get 14% damage, -25% mana cost and 5% knockback, That makes the weapon was the mana cost of only 2! I Never made any edit on any wiki, soo i thinked it's better i warn a admin, for i not make a mistake. - Jhosvi —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jhosvi (talkcontribs) at 14:38, 26 March 2016

I'll add that to the page. I don't suppose you have the numbers for Goldly? Players could then compare the two, and decide which modifier they would prefer.
P.S. Please place four tildes at the end of your comments ( ~~~~ ) which will automatically place a standard signature there. Thanks. - Ferretwings (talk) 16:40, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
The godly stats are +14% Damage, +5 Critical chance and 15% knockback, also, i edited again, i mentined the 50% decreased mana cost with the masterful modifier, while the modifier displays -25%. Jhosvi 19:52, 26 March 2016
Are you wearing any mana reducing accessories or armor? That could possibly turn the 25% into 50%. – Ferretwings (talk) 23:20, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
He must be. An unmodified Bubble Gun costs 4 mana while a Masterful costs 3 (-25% just as advertised). Also here are the Godly stats: +14% damage, +5% crit, +15% knockback. Equazcion (talk) 23:35, 26 Mar 2016 (UTC)

Edits to Dao of Pow[edit source]

Hello, I noticed you reverted my edit for the Dao of Pow page. I'm not entirely sure why though as it is quite a strong connection. For future references, please provide a reason for making revisions. Thank you! Vardamin (talk) 04:05, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

The problem with this kind of contention is that a person who goes to a page to add trivia invariably believes the connection they've drawn to be stronger than it usually is, even in a case where it is correct. As a result, I don't normally comment on trivia removals unless I'm questioned on them (or if they're nonsensically farfetched). In a lot of cases I'd be able to present explicit evidence to the contrary, and even in these cases people still maintain that their point is valid, so it's difficult to say in this case that there's just not much to substantiate that claim. No member of Re-Logic has ever publicly expressed an interest in Taoism, and aside from a handful of unspecific "eastern" themed items, nothing in the game even begins to allude to this book.
In short, your claim was rather certain ("it is") when at best it could be considered a far-flung possibility ("these two phrases have a slight similarity but no other known association"). Questionable trivia is removed, and I don't normally go out of my way to explain why anymore, because there's not much point in trying to convince someone that what they're seeing isn't really there. Edit reversion on 18 November 2015[edit source]

Why would you simply revert a legitimate comment (something I thought mine qualified as) just because it "probably won't get a response"? Also, I apologize for responding to this about 9 months after the revert, but, well, I hadn't been playing Terraria lately up until my internet went out a few days ago.--Macks2008 (talk) 11:29, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

I didn't just revert it because it wasn't likely to get a response, and it's disingenuous to represent my revert as such. I said that it was unlikely to get a response because that was one of the many reasons you should have known better than to try to reply to it in the first place. The comment in question was from 2013, meaning that even if that person had responded to you, you'd have been discussing obsolete- and therefore incorrect- data anyway. This is the main reason that dates and signatures on comments are mandatory, as well as why replies to incredibly old posts like this are discouraged. Moreover, the question at hand was a typical misunderstanding of the way statistics works, both using a single player's limited sample to draw conclusions and assuming that a percentage was a guarantee. The value in question as currently posted on the Clown page is pulled from the code. Barring bugged functionality that would no doubt be more widely reported at the time that it was relevant, it's not incorrect, and putting further inquiry into this single player's poorly articulated experience would have proven a waste of time. Further, your response leads both by pedantically grammar policing, which contributes nothing to the discussion at hand, and admitting that you had no knowledge of or experience with the topic, meaning that your ability to meaningfully assist with their inquiry would be, to be generous, limited.
Talk pages aren't just places to leave idle comments, regardless of their legitimacy- and in this case yours wasn't, because ultimately you were trying to gather information about someone's fallacious statistical gripe years after the fact. "Necroposting" like this is removed as a matter of course. Gearzein (talk) 22:46, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Just saw your edit about Sky Fracture.[edit source]

Why it's the counterpart of Oynx Blaster: 1. Recipe. Oynx Blaster uses SoN and Dark Shards. 2. OB is ranged and SF is magic?

Also, you forgot to remove the trivia one :) You can keep the edit tho, don't start a war because of this comment, please. Thank you for your co-operation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MightyDirtKing (talkcontribs)

I'd say that's not really substantial. Magic and ranged weapons aren't naturally opposed or anything, and the two weapons aren't anything alike beyond relatively minor similarities in crafting recipe. If they were part of a set of four that also had a sword and a summon, or if their appearances were clearly similar, then there'd be a stronger case, but for these two weapons to be a paired set is a stretch.
