Delinking crafting ingredients[]

There's currently no way to remove links for crafting ingredients. I made a quick attempt to add this just now, but it seems to be a bit more complicated than I anticipated. I may take another crack at it when I have have some more time to experiment. Equazcion (talk) 22:59, 23 Apr 2015 (UTC)

Thanks[]

Thanks for all the time you've been devoting to filling in ID info. It's much appreciated! Equazcion (talk) 00:06, 27 Apr 2015 (UTC)

Admin[]

If you'd be willing to accept, I'd like to put in a request to make you an administrator at Terraria Wiki. Your maintenance work here has been very valuablr. This would be subject to approval by the Curse staff, but I predict they wouldn't take issue with it. Note though that administrators are expected to conduct themselves with a bit more professionalism than ordinary editors. If you fee up t the task, let me know and I'll put in a request. Whether you accept or mot, thanks again for all you work here. If you have any questions feel free to respond here. Equazcion (talk) 17:49, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

I can't promise I'll be able to keep a great attendance record, which might be an issue. If not, I've no other major objections. --KM100 (talk) 18:43, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
You're now an admin. Don't worry too much about attendance, we all take breaks from time to time. I'm not sure how well-versed you are in admin controls, but it's pretty straightforward, and if you have any questions you can always ask me or another admin for pointers. Good luck and congrats :) Equazcion (talk) 00:12, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

AI Page[]

You seem to have removed all information concerning entitities with certain AIs damaging the player from the AI page. Could you tell me why? I just want to know, it's not urgent, although it does mean I get to go back and edit the German translation. Terrariapc1 (talk) 15:03, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

I remember this one, actually. Checking the edit summary, the information that was removed is stuff that isn't strictly defined by the AI tags assigned to mobs, such as collision and alliance. I understand it's inconvenient, but the AI page has been a mess for a while so it's long overdue. If it's any consolation, you probably won't have to translate the individual AI pages, as nobody's really fighting to keep them around, and most of them are built on those same presuppositions that knockback, animations and the like are dependent on AI type. Console update ID list?[]

Hi KM100,

I just had the Horned God Robe drop from the Destroyer, so I went to check it out and noticed you mentioned the console update ID list in your summary when the page was created. Where do you find ID lists for console games? I always thought that was a PC thing. Do game develpors make that information public? --NibKing (talk) 13:26, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Normally the console IDs are hidden from the public, but for this update, all the IDs of the new content were listed in the changelog. When such a list isn't provided, usually people are clever enough to find the actual IDs via in-game glitches or other exploits. --KM100 (talk) 16:48, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Music Box[]

Sorry about the rash comment on the Music Box page, I'm a bit tired and cranky at the moment. Anyway, I did verify all those changes I made, as I was keeping a close eye on each music box before crafting the two at the end. On the console version, the Snow and Ice music boxes are opposite what is captured on the page. Same with Boss 4 and 5. --NibKing (talk) 04:13, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

EDIT: Also, I never thanked you for the reply to my previous message above. Thanks. --NibKing (talk) 04:15, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

I'm guilty of doing guesswork here, as I don't have the console version, and music boxes take ages to record on the mobile version. If those tracks really are switched, it would probably be better to have the name switched instead of the info (such as Snow (Desktop only), Ice (Console version)), or a simple note describing how they're switched. Having all the info and links listed twice with a ton of icons becomes quite confusing.
Anyway, I appreciate your contributions here, and you shouldn't hesitate to correct me whenever I'm wrong about something. --KM100 (talk) 04:26, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
I think that's a good idea about switching the name vs. the confusing info. Also, regarding the Alt Underground Music Box, I spent nearly 3 hours trying to record that music on console with no luck. I googled it and found other people were having issues, as well. Example here (see post #4) --NibKing (talk) 06:08, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Version Templates[]

I know that 1.0 and 1.1 are not the same update, but I stacked them to have only three lines and not the second with jsut 1.1, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 (Cause it's ugly). Don't you agree ?-- Dinoxel discussion 00:05, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, having 1.0 and 1.1 on the same line looks a bit odd with the small amount of 1.1 updates, although I feel that having them on a different line is better for organization. Of course, my word on this isn't final, so feel free to change it back if you want. –KM100 (talk) 00:44, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
Equazcion passed by there. Uhuh -- Dinoxel discussion 02:03, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
Feel free to say you don't like my version too :) Can still be switched back if people like it the other way, or something else. Equazcion (talk) 02:13, 10 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Life/Mana Boosters[]

Are you saying those items are actually used in the game? Who drops them? Equazcion (talk) 06:24, 16 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Nevermind, I got it. Equazcion (talk) 06:36, 16 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Main page updates[]

Please remember to update Terraria Wiki/editcopy whenever you update the main Terraria Wiki page. Generally we update the editcopy and then do a straight copy/paste from there to the main page. Other admins may inadvertently revert changes to the main page in the future if this practice isn't followed. Thanks! Equazcion (talk) 00:54, 21 Jul 2015 (UTC)

Ivy Whip[]

Recently you reverted the latching type of the Ivy Whip from Single back to Simultaneous. Just to make it clear, is 'Single' only one hook or does it mean only one hook can be fired until the previous has latched or returned. Because if the latter is the case, the Ivy Whip is 'Single' latching type. (I tested this) TheMagnificent42 (talk) 23:12, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

The "Latching" column, as a synonym for "attaching", necessarily refers to hooks that have connected and fixed onto a block. The terminology "number of hooks that can remain latched simultaneously" is found above the table and serves to clarify this. Gearzein (talk) 02:25, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
So after thinking about it, wouldn't it make sense to have a 'has rapid fire' column or something of the likes which indicates whether or not the previous hook has to be latched? Because this can be a deciding factor in which hook to get. TheMagnificent42 (talk) 01:52, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
In cases where it's relevant, the ability to fire in rapid succession is already recorded in the Notes column- see the Dual Hook and Web Slinger. I've neither personally taken this ability into account nor encountered a situation where firing multiple hooks at once was useful, and this is the first time this has ever been brought to my attention in any context, so I can't foresee a case where that would be enough of a factor to justify another column added to the table. That said, if any others have this property but are unmarked, feel free to do so. Gearzein (talk) 02:07, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Ok makes sense thank you TheMagnificent42 (talk) 02:37, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Which platforms do you use?[]

We have very few console and mobile users, I don't suppose you play Terraria on either? – Ferretwings (talk) 04:43, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

I've got Terraria for PC and iOS, but no access to any console version. –KM100 (talk) 23:21, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Flairon[]

Why did you change it to what it is now? Skybreaker8769 (talk) 18:39, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

In general, history should be left to history, as users who access the wiki are going to want current information, and placing historical facts outside of the history section makes that harder to find. As for the second part of the edit, due to the game's system of progression, it's extremely likely that equipment from one boss will help against the next boss/set of events, so, unless the weapon exceeds expectations in some way (for example, the Vilethorn vs the Eater of Worlds), it generally shouldn't be stated on the page.
Regardless, my edits are never final, so if you want to make some changes, go ahead; just keep these guidelines in mind. –KM100 (talk) 18:56, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

Quest rewards for fishing[]

As you changes the probabilities for the quest items, I guess you are at least slightly interested in the real probabilities :-). I made a page sometime ago with an explanation how it is really done and examples. As you can see at the bottom the formula is taken from a slightly older version of Terraria but I guess it is not really changed. I do not have the time (nor a good idea how) to add this to fishing, but feel free to use it. Flisch42 (talk) 21:14, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

Interesting. I had just taken a glance at the code to get a general idea of how things worked, but I can say that your table definitely helped me more than that look-around did. I do think that a table like this would be helpful on the fishing page, but it seems like it could take some work to be added. –KM100 (talk) 04:03, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

Drax[]

Why did you remove my edit? Skybreaker8769 (talk) 02:55, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

If a feature like that was added and removed later, it seems unlikely that it would be intentional, which means that it falls under the bug policy of the wiki. Furthermore, history should generally not be placed outside of the history section of an article. –KM100 (talk) 04:03, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

Ninja armor[]

Is the Ninja armor still considered only vanity on mobile? – Ferretwings (talk) 01:49, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Yes, although it still has tooltips that suggest otherwise. For example, the Ninja Hood's description reads: "Equipable | Vanity Item |15% Increased Throwing Velocity", however, wearing it does not provide any increase in throwing velocity. The same concept applies to the other pieces of the set. –KM100 (talk) 05:35, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Wormhole Potion on Mobile?[]

A rather persistent editor claims that the Wormhole Potion can be found on Mobile. Not crafted, but found in pots in multiplayer. Can you verify? I'll leave his edit alone, as Eraloiz and I have already reverted his edits, only to have him put the information on the page again. – Ferretwings (talk) 01:59, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

After scouring the surface of two expanded worlds and their dungeons, in multiplayer, I haven't found a single wormhole potion. It could just be a result of a small sample size, but it seems unlikely, as I found plenty of other potions. With the latest mobile content update being released before 1.3.0.1, I doubt Wormhole potions were added to the game in the meantime. –KM100 (talk) 04:13, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

Meteor Change[]

(i don't really understand how i can send you a message xD sorry if it not like that)

Thank you for editing my shit, that was my first try (and mistake xD) I will be more careful for next. (im not english and i don't play mobile version)

Good day !

Critters[]

Can't critters be sold on console? I don't think they could ever be sold on mobile, but consoles players were able to sell them. Has this changed? – Ferretwings (talk) 02:10, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

This was mainly guesswork on my part. Mobile formerly had a price set, but it has since been changed. As all the sell prices were either marked with Desktop only or no icon at all, I assumed that console had also seen this change. Unfortunately, I can't verify it without the console edition, but I didn't want to leave the console icon unincluded, as that'd only be more confusing. – KM100 (talk) 02:52, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

Hel-fire[]

sorry, i assumed the article was wrong because i set up a shark statue farm and ended up killing over 1000 sharks before i found a video that said that it was hellbats and armored skeletons Blazingfireflies (talk) 16:19, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Yoyos[]

I was changing the yoyo pages to list them as autoswing, because that's what the List of weapons page says. 107.0.254.97 13:50, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

In this case, it's the list of weapons page that's incorrect; none of the yoyos have autoReuse listed in the source code, and they aren't re-used if you continue holding the mouse button. – KM100 (talk) 13:56, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

In formal writing, you are correct. However, in speaking and informal writing, "there's" is acceptable when referring to more than one. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/grammar/british-grammar/there-is-there-s-and-there-areFerretwings (talk) 22:54, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
