Thank you![]

Thanks you for the fix on my User page! :) --Ryo567 (talk) 10:17, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Version history headlines[]

The layout change you did on the Version history article was quite immense, and overall it looks both more stylish and systematic now. However, I frequently do find it annoying when I click on patch links (such as 1.2.2) and are reminded that those - due to the removal of headlines - no longer work as they did, instead requiring me to scroll down until I reach the patch in question. This can be rather tedious considering the length of the whole list, and this will only aggravate with future patches. I am not saying the layout should be reverted, but do you perhaps have any thoughts or suggestions regarding this? NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 23:08, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

I too agree with this situation and right now I'm thinking of a way to dissolve this issue. My current idea is to separate into headlines like, ==1.1.x== and ==1.2.x, so on... And patches like, 1.2.3 will be placed under 1.2.x, otherwise this may have to be hold off. Suraf 01:40, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Since I have commented that above, I have thought of another idea. This idea will make Version history basically a highlight page for each version and move the patch-notes/change-logs on the actually pages like 1.2.2 change-log will be found on 1.2.2 instead of having the redirect. And if this idea goes well, I'll also make a template for the Patches release date, version, previous patch, next patch and some other stuff that may be useful. Suraf 01:43, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
I have created an example for the template: Template:Zdroid9770/Sandbox. Suraf 02:28, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the time to answer! Hmm, let me see if I understand - you're suggesting each patch to have its own article, with Version history being a list of these (in similar manner to Boss and individual boss articles)? This could work well; it's already the case on the popular Wowpedia and Wowwiki. Perhaps that's where you're taking it from too? In any case, with such a system the hassle with scrolling would be vastly reduced. All in all I think this sounds like a good idea, if I've understood it correctly. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 16:54, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes this idea is strongly made and encouraged from Wowpedia (mostly) and Wowwiki. Suraf 19:36, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
With the process of implementing this system (given other Terraria users do not reject it), is there anything I can do to help out? I guess it would feel somewhat out of place to simply approve without contributing. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 21:59, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Before I even implement this new system, we have to make sure that it is alright and approved by an administrator. Hear their opinion about this. If an administrator agrees with this, I'll go ahead and make the template and the articles with the template already set up in there. You really don't have to help but as I make the articles and can move the proper changelog to the specific article. :) Suraf 23:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
I've taken a look at Wowpedia and I agree it looks better than what we have here. So I'm fine with the change. --0icke0 (talk) 11:00, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
Great! Thanks for the help 0icke0! Also note - the release date for the Halloween update, 1.2.1 is unknown. Research is needed, with a citation when added. The rest of the articles I'll have complete and established tomorrow. :D Suraf 22:48, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
I've added date and/or source references to all post-1.2.0.2 patches, including the 1.2.1 one. A fairly easy process, if it hadn't been for the fact that there's always some tiny error or annoyance that needs to be fixed. No rest for the wicked, I guess. The template you made is working great, though it also appears to have a small issue with images in specified sizes. This causes "[[File:" and "]]" to show (1.2.2, 1.2.3). Anyway, I'm impressed by the work you've done - the whole thing is starting to look quite good! \(^_^)/ NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 02:28, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks! And about the template, You do not need to include [[File:<file name>]], all you really need to add for the image is <file name>, this includes the file extension. So far it's coming out great and right now I'll be finishing the rest. Great work! And thanks for getting the correct date for the 1.2.1 page. :D. Other than that, I have fixed size and added a new tag |size=. All you do is simply add like 300px after the equals sign (only if theirs a image presented) then the image will be 300x300 instead of a huge size, for an example see 1.2.2. Suraf 03:37, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I should have guessed it'd be another Wowpedia-similarity. Thanks for clearing it up! NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 07:06, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

You can look at this article for the recipe. The item is on the mobile version and should be the same recipe as the PC version. Also, please remember to sign your comments by typing: ~~~~, Thank you! Suraf 20:56, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Xbox bug[]

I recently got on Terria on Xbox and all my items were replced with one item I think they were hermes boots but this was a new chacter because i lost my others I had just started taking off with this character and lost most of my good item. Is there a way to fix this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.137.254.245 (talk)

Make sure your account for xbox is not being hacked, try reinstalling Terraria, or make a new character to see what happens, could be a xbox bug. If you can be more in depth of what's going on, then I can probably give you a specific answer. Hopefully your issue will be fixed. Suraf 22:26, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for the help however i have already tried most of the things you have said. (this is another ip adress i may use)
Also when you say make sure your not being hacked could you tell me how that could happen also this has happened to both my friends and my brother. You asked me to put it into more detail so i will...One day i got onto the game and it had all my items turned into one specific item and i had abunch of random perk so i checked my piggybank thinking i could remake my stuff and i have several stacks of iron pickaxes stacked in the hundreds so i made a new character to see what would happen it worked fine and still works fine but i gave up on my stuff and got back on my other chacter this time the items in my hotbar that had been replaced. Well even the items it was replaced with was gone and i had nothing however this glitch doesnt effect the inventory so i remade all my stuff and got off that night, but then i got back on the next day and my items were gone again...Ive tried everyday to fix this glitch by reloading at least once a day i will try re-installing it.Also my friend thinks that the glitch is just the newer stuff being replaced with whatever is closest in coding because of the tranfer of items from old to new i dont think this applies to me because i made the world and the chacter the day of the update. Thank you for your time and i hope we can solve this problem.
I tried re-installing it but no luck. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.157.127.2

Is hard mode going to be available soon to Terriaria pocket edition — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.236.8.149

I'm not too sure about this, I haven't really looked into Terraria Pocket Edition. It may come around someday. Suraf 21:22, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Lost most stuff and get random rebuffs after game just freezes at start[]

I started playing one day and then I lose my items to a black specte boots I also got weird buffs and things I didn't do and now my terraria won't load because the "this sign means the game is saving" at the start freezes at that time I play on Xbox 360 1.2 terraria — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.89.66.211

This also occurred to me however he wont respond. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.157.127.2
Please submit these bugs on the main Terraria forums. I don't own the Terraria edition for the Xbox so I can't really help out. Suraf 19:09, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

Nice Signature[]

Mind if I copy part of your signature wikitext? Don worry, not the whole thing. I just need something more unique than this --> Macks2008 (talk) 13:26, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
