The Chain Guillotines in action.

The Chain Guillotines are a Hardmode autoswinging chain weapon dropped by Corrupt Mimics.

It can also pierce multiple enemies when standing inside them or very close, therefore being a lot more effective at close quarters. It has a very low sell price for a Hardmode weapon.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount.

Tips

• The weapon can be easily reforged for a few silver, making it cheap and easy to achieve good and effective modifiers, especially the Godly modifier.
• This weapon is extremely effective against the Destroyer.
• If you ride a fast mount (such as the Unicorn Mount) while firing in front of you, it will cause a large number of guillotines to be thrown.

Trivia

• The weapon can be considered to be the Hardmode upgrade to the Chain Knife, sharing similar characteristics and a similar design.
• It has the same sell price as Chains on the  Old-gen console version,  Windows Phone version, and Nintendo 3DS version.
