Console version
Console-Only Content: This information applies only to the Console version of Terraria.

The Console version of Terraria is published by 505Games. The console version is a port of the PC version PC version (developed by Re-Logic), ported by Pipeworks. This version contains 3 exclusive vanity sets not in the Desktop version.

The console version is currently available on 6 different console systems (3 of which are Old-gen). The game is expected to be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2019.[1][2][3]

The Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version is considered separate on this wiki, and has its own page and its own history. It will not receive any significant updates past its current PC version PC 1.2 equivalent.[4]

Due to hardware requirement issues and memory constraints, Old-gen platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and the Wii U) will not receive significant updates past the 1.2.4.1 PC version PC equivalent (see Old-gen console version Old-gen console version).[5][6][7]

Brief History

1.3:

  • Released on PS4 as of December 12th, 2017, and on Xbox One as of February 5th, 2018.
  • All content from the desktop version through 1.3.0.7
  • Graphics will be aligned to the 1.3.4 update.
  • Most console exclusive content has been removed or changed.

Additions Update:

  • June 4, 2015 on all console platforms
  • All content from the desktop version through 1.2.3 (Does not give fishing, or any other entity that includes fishing).
  • Added console exclusive Ocram Mask and Horned God set.

1.2:

  • April 17, 2014 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita
  • November 2014 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
  • All content from the desktop version through 1.2.1.2 (Except the Coin Gun and 10 extra inventory slots).
  • Added console exclusive Sparkly Wings, Fabulous Outfit, George's Tuxedo, Ocram Trophy, and enemy banners.
