1.3 Based Armor Sets and the Frost Moon

I'm wondering if we should change the recommended armor sets for Frost Moon, as with 1.3, there is newer, much more powerful sets. For example, from the Nebula armor (which is mage based) page: In Multiplayer, any player can pick up the flames to benefit from the buffs, even if they are not wearing the Nebula Armor. Additionally, picking up a flame will grant every nearby player (in a 20-30 blocks radius approximatively) one instance of a buff, and thus giving the ability to share the buffs with other players. This occurs if there is a full set of nebula armor on the person, and since the buff are vastly increased: Regeneration, Damage, and Mana Regen; it clearly is better than Spectre Armor (as long as player stick together). I wanted to get someone else's opinion on this before I went editing the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.21.189.102 at 13:53, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

I'm againts changing this part. Yes, Nebula set is better, but you don't list endgame weapons and armor as best for beating Eye of Cthulhu or Goblin Invasion, right? So the situation here is the same. Most players get Nebula armor after Moon events. GJPEV (talk) 14:10, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Solar Eclipse insufficiently descriptive

The Solar Eclipse event isn't descriptive enough, nor does it account for Mothron appearing (Hiding in a hole won't help as Mothron can pass through blocks.). In addition the picture for the Solar Eclipse (while cool) doesn't accurately display the strategy in action. 96.248.95.166 01:43, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Requesting rewrite of invulnerability/invincibility machine

before anything else we need to decide on an official name, because both are seen. this section is inaccurate, if not false on some details.

first, you dont need to go to great length to prevent spawn and all. you just need your slime to be the oldest ennemy, killing all other ennemies except him will do. which is precisely what you do during an event. of course, if you ve to create a fresh slime during the event, you would need to kill everyone else in order to make him the elder, and generally you cant survive. so it still needs to be perennial. the startegy sometimes seen of spawnin multiple slimes until one is good is based on wrong assumption. you want it to be old, the more you replace it the younger it is. enerally there should not be a timer, just a switch to pop one and make it live.

second: chlorophyte partisan, as other spears are NOT recommended. they can, and will kill the slime, its just a matter of time. dont forget that the slimes jumps up to the level of your head, so it enters periodically in the damage area of any standard weapon. a restrictive list of weapons should be made. all other weapons than those cited have risks of killing what is near you, ie your protective slime. only rainbow rod and xenopopper have been tested to be safe(as they fire from a point some distance away from your character). those dont travel through blocks, though. there is a workaround, continue to read.

second, a complicated box is not necessary. it doesnt even need to be closed, it can be left open at the top (if walls are high enough to retain the slime) this can be useful for attacking a boss hovering over you. (pumking comes to mind) note: this only work with remote weapons like rainbow rod and xenopper. there is the possibility of jumping outside just to fire a bit, get back some health and come back , but its generaly inefficient(you dont need the slime to continuously hit you, you can come back to it for protection as long as he is older than the baddies) using horseman s blade on a lot of slimes, as is sometimes seen, is a build for dps, not invulnerability.

third, a summoner build is NOT (always) recommended, as summons can and will come back to you and kill the slime. all minions more or less do that, its not restricted to some. on the contrary, it MAY work, but only if certain conditions are met. you he ve to go to great length to calculate if your minion will come back, and the list should be aof what minuion has the least chance of comning back, depending on its distance, ability to fly, teleport etc. so, not genrally recommended. the only decent minions to use are sentry minions like spider queen and frost hydra (beware if you re on open top, dont summon them over you, they fire back at the slime.). all others can come back or cant be summoned from inside (like nimbus rod, you can only summon it over you if you re open top, and its risky as the rain falls back on the slime.)

fourth there are some others genral precisions to be made. it seems for example this does not prevent deadly sphere melee attack, nor elf copter ranged attack. they should have some means of very frequently damaging you that bypass invulnerability timer, allowing to attack even during protected frames. thankfully you can defend against spheres by making a fully enclosed box. as for armor, if you go summon then do the classical summon thing. for open top ranged builds (ideal for pumpking), shroomite armor is of course best. BUT dont count on the stealth mode, it gets reset every time you re touched, which is all the time with the slime. for pure idle builds, chlorophyte is perfect, its leaf attack doesnt hurt your slime as long as you ve a roof just over your head (height is different if you re mounted or not).

as for having a heart statue its useless. a lot of hearts are spread all over the battlefield left by dead ennemies, so unless you have a mean to get them back (heartreach, or a complicated system of conveyor belts) you wont be able to use it for long. the lingering hearts will saturate the world and no one will spawn of your statue after a moment, making you slowly die of attrition. this means you NEED to have sufficient defense/regeneration to survive the slime by yourself and not rely on outside means. remember though than you can jump outside juts to gatheer hearts if needed.

Dummy invulnerability within general

There are two entire pieces on the dummy system. One is interested the textblock and the other follows directly after. I feel that I have no right to take away someone's work, so I ask that a moderator takes the task. Uygfjmhgvh (talk) 12:44, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Lost my mind. The pieces are found in the Invincibility Engine section. Derp. Uygfjmhgvh (talk) 12:46, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

I just failed. Open discussion roast thread

I just improperly explained my edit. I forgot to say "a" simile. Let the roasts roll in. Uygfjmhgvh (talk) 00:20, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

No need to apologize. I too make mistakes when summarizing edits, so it's not a bad thing making mistakes at times. - Murrayzero (talk) 00:29, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
