Help With Probes[]
I have the poison staff, lots of Grand Healing Potions, a campfire, and a heart lantern. I can survive okay, but the Probes give me enough trouble that I can't damage The Destroyer enough. - I would suggest just making the probes top priority. Can I ask what type of armor you have? If you're able to kill other bosses, hallowed armor or frost armor will probably help a lot. If not, go for titanium. --Xolroc (talk) 04:23, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- I currently have Titanium. It's the best I can get my hands on. I just acquired a Legendary Cutlass, so that may help. I have yet to get the Nimbus Rod, which may be my biggest issue. I managed to survive and wear down Skeletron until sunrise, where I died of course. I almost took out it's melee limbs. I died to The Twins fairly easily.
- My equipment is Poison Staff, Magic Dagger, Demon Scythe, Queen Spider, Imp Staff, Water Bolt, Dao of Pow, Bee Gun, Cutlass, Diamond Staff, and Titanium Trident for weapons. My other equipment is Crystal Ball, Grand Potions, Lesser Mana Potions, Frozen Shell, Obsidian Shield, Cloud Balloon, Harpy Wings, Lightning Boots, Mana Flower, and Magic Cuffs. I have both Melee and Magic helmets, and most parts for the Fire Gauntlet, lacking 2/3 of the Avenger Emblem.
- I'm adding any potions I can to my next battle, such as Regen, Mana Regen, Ironskin, Magic Pow, and Pumpkin Pie. I feel better now that I have more offensive presence, but I haven't tested this yet. --Dialga The Time Lord 20:54, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

- I'm playing Singleplayer, but I did successfully beat the Destroyer. Should I keep farming the Destroyer or go for The Twins or SP? I've got 20 Hallowed Bars and 32 Souls of Might.
- I don't know how to direct you here! I found the Twins to be the hardest, but you may find them easier than Skeletron Prime. REALLY good way to beat the destroyer[]
now all you need and this may take some time, is a nimbus rod, now what you do is you build up a bit but make sure the destroyer can reach the platform but monsters that spawn don't jump on, make it about 100 blocks wide and move around to dodge when the destroyer comes and put up some clouds in his path, 1 set of 2 clouds can do about 30000-50000 damage it's ridiculously easy to kill him with this method, but may require some grinding

- If you need help in-game, the best way to ask for tips is to post on the forums. As you are on the Switch version, you will not be able to play online with others, so asking for help directly won't quite work out. If the guides provided here don't give enough information to help you out, you can ask on the forums - there are many experienced players who could give you some advice, at the very least. Changes for 1.4.2 after extensive testing[]
