For the different fashions of a character see Character styles.

Hairstyles determine how the player's hair appears. 51 different hairstyles appear as options at character creation, while all 134 are available for purchase from the Stylist NPC. Hair color can also be chosen at character creation, or through the Stylist.

Unlockable styles

  • Hairstyles 124-133 are unlocked after defeating the Martian Madness event.
  • Hairstyle 134 is unlocked after defeating both Martian Madness event and the Moon Lord.

  • Certain vanity items also serve as hairstyles. Some vanity items that can be equipped on the head slot still show the player's hair, such as a witches hat.

Trivia

  • Hairstyles 109 & 124-132 resembles alien looking and themed hairstyles.
  • Hairstyles 24 and 132 look very similar to the Super Saiyan hair from the anime Dragon Ball Z, as Saiyans are considered as different species.
  • Hairstyle 26 looks similar to the bun hair of Princess Leia from Star Wars.
  • Hair style 20 resembles Luke Skywalker also from Star Wars
  • Hairstyles 126 and 127 look similar to Floran hairstyles from Starbound.
  • Hairstyles 82 and 84 resemble Sailor Moon and Sailor Rini from the anime Sailor Moon.
  • Hairstyle 53 resembles the Black Wizard's hair from Final Fantasy
  • Hairstyle 78 has a reseblence of Professer Flitwick from the Harry Potter series

History

  • Desktop 1.3.0.1:
    • Added 11 new hairstyles.
    • Sprites of hairstyles 1-51 updated.
  • Desktop 1.2.3.1: Fixed bug where long hairs would draw the front part in the player's feet when in reverse gravity.
  • Desktop 1.2.3: Added 72 new hairstyles.
    • Added a new mechanic allowing a player's hair color to be replaced with a dynamic effect using Hair Dyes.
    • Player's hair color can now be changed by the Stylist.
  • Desktop 1.0.6:
    • Added 19 new hairstyles.
    • When choosing your hairstyle, you may now right click to cycle through the hair selections backwards.
    • Female/male hairstyles no longer result in a female/male voice.
