The Putrid Scent is a Hardmode accessory. When equipped, it will increase damage and critical strike chance by 5%, as well as making enemies less likely to target the player.

Putrid Scents have a 1 in 5 (20%) chance to drop from a Corrupt Mimic, which are only found in Corruption worlds.

Tips

• This is a great accessory for melee players who use either Turtle armor or Beetle armor, since both armors make enemies more likely to target the player.

Trivia

• The Putrid Scent is the Corruption counterpart to Crimson's Flesh Knuckles, since it increases damage dealt and decreases odds of being targeted, while the Flesh Knuckles decreases damage received and increases the odds of being targeted.
