Shark Fin

The Shark Fin is a crafting material that has a 98% chance of being dropped by Sharks found in the Ocean biome, and a 1/8 (12.5%) chance of being dropped by Sand Sharks during a Sandstorm.

Shark fins dropped by Sand Sharks will have special coloration ( ). Similar to Gel, the first shark fin in a stack determines the color of the rest.

As Sharks only spawn naturally in the Oceans which can be difficult to farm without the right equipment, it might be easier to obtain Shark Fins from Sand Sharks as they spawn in the surface layer of the desert during a Sandstorm.
A different method is to build a breathing area in the ocean and farm Sharks there.
Shark fins can also be obtained from Shark Statues.
