The Shark Tooth Necklace is an accessory which has a 0.67% / 1.33% (1/149 / 1/75) chance to drop from Blood Zombies and Dripplers found during a Blood Moon. It causes the player's attacks to ignore 5 points of their target's defense. This is equivalent to raising the damage of the player's attacks by 2 or 3, depending on the enemy's defense before this is factored in.

Tips

• This item is very useful in Pre-Hardmode and early Hardmode because it has a fixed armor penetration value.
• The Shark Tooth Necklace is great for overcoming the shortcomings of early high fire rate, low damage weapons such as the Minishark and the Bee Gun, which fall short when fighting high defense enemies. Raising damage from 10 damage per hit to 12 is equivalent to a 20% increase in damage.
