The Stargazer is a Hardmode, post-Lunatic Cultist enemy found at the Stardust Pillar during the Lunar Events. It walks slowly, and will sometimes fire a thin Stardust Laser at the player. The Stargazer may move while firing the laser, but it cannot change the angle, similarly to the Charged Blaster Cannon on Old Chinese version Old Chinese and tModLoader 1 tModLoader Legacy when firing its full beam.

Trivia[]

  • The Stargazer is named StardustSoldier in the game code.
  • The Stargazer, Predictor, Vortexian and Drakanian all share remarkably similar sprites.

The BestiaryBestiary entry for the Stargazer: "This slow-moving celestial soldier fires cosmic rays at unsuspecting invaders, defending the pillar without hesitation."

History[]

  • Desktop 1.4.4: Beam now has a half second "charge up" beam effect, giving players a chance to react and avoid the incoming beam of damage. The actual duration of the damage period remains the same.
