The Possessed is an enemy from the Solar Eclipse event. Despite not resembling one, The Possessed acts similarly to Spider enemies such as Wall Creepers, Blood Crawlers, Black Recluse, and Jungle Creepers, climbing on back walls when able and walking on the ground at all other times. While climbing on walls, The Possessed seems to have an increased movement speed and resistance to knockback, similar to the other enemies that share this wall-climbing trait.
Trivia
- The Possessed is a reference to the 1973 movie The Exorcist.[1]
- The Possessed and Sand Poachers are the only Spider-type enemies that aren't actually Spiders.
