: Yeah -- I fixed the crafting recipes for Iron Bars, then had to overwrite Westgrass's old-style arguments when he ninja'ed me. But now Iron Bar has its layout hosed -- the sidebar seems to be overlaid on the page proper. Except this is ''also'' true of Martian Conduit Plating, which I didn't touch and which still has a broken crafting box. --[[User:MentalMouse42|MentalMouse42]] ([[User talk:MentalMouse42|talk]]) 11:34, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Guide

Do you mind if a make a couple of changes to Guide:Renewable Resources? LordofEditing (talk) 21:54, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

No. Go right Ahead. I welcome help. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 19:18, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Platforms?

Which platforms do you play Terraria on? I saw you've added some 3DS info. – Ferretwings (talk) 21:49, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

I mainly play on the PC. But I do play a little on the 3DS. Mainly when I am out and cannot access my laptop very easily. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 21:53, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
Have you reached Hardmode on the 3DS, and if yes, which Bosses have you beaten? – Ferretwings (talk) 16:46, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
Yes I reached Hardmode on one of my worlds. I have beat all the bosses up through Golem multiple times but only Duke Fishron once. I have not yet done the Pumpkin Moon and Frost Moon yet though. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 16:56, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

3DS items

I'm trying to verify if certain items are in 3DS. I recently updated the Chest history, so I'll begin there :) Desktop 1.2 added craftable Ebonwood, Rich Mahogany, Pearlwood, and Shadewood Chests and
non-craftable Ivy, Ice, Living Wood, Skyware, Web Covered, Lihzahrd, Water, and biome chests: Jungle, Corruption, Crimson, Hallowed and Frozen. Desktop 1.2.3 added Dynasty, Honey, and Steampunk Chests. Desktop 1.2.4 added Palm Wood, Mushroom, Boreal Wood, Slime, Dungeon (Blue, Green, Pink), Bone, Cactus, Flesh, Obsidian, Pumpkin, and Spooky Chests. For the craftable chests, I've added a version parameter to the crafting recipes that are platform exclusive (I'll be using that parameter in a dpl I'm working on).
Can you verify if 3DS has all the 1.2 chests? And does 3DS have any of the post-1.2 chests? – Ferretwings (talk) 03:33, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

I have successfully verified that the 3DS Version does in fact have all of the Desktop 1.2 Update Chests including the Dungeon Biome Chests. However, as far as I can tell, the post 1.2 chests, including dynasty, honey steampunk, palm wood, etc., do not yet exist. Hope this helps. :) ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 14:58, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
Thanks! – Ferretwings (talk) 16:30, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
Your Welcome. If you ever need anything else, feel free to let me know. :) ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 16:32, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

I was looking over the Soul of Blight page, and realized that many of those recipes may be different for 3DS. Could you take a look? – Ferretwings (talk) 22:41, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

Yes, actually they are as I found out. The 3DS still requires to have exactly the Cobalt, Mythril, and Adamantite specifically to craft all of those items. Palladium, Orichalcum, and Titanium cannot be used. The 3DS does definitely need to be treated differently since it is behind the 3 main versions, Desktop, Console, and Mobile. Never really noticed that before. Looks like a lot of work needs to be done to specify all these differences on the wiki :P. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 01:45, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

The Biome Key Molds were introduced in 1.2.1. Does the 3DS have them, or are enemies dropping the Biome Keys instead? – Ferretwings (talk) 14:25, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Yes, the Biome Key Molds are on the 3DS Version. Perhaps we should include that on the 3DS Version history page under the Initial Release? ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 00:13, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

The 3DS has Molotov Cocktail? – Ferretwings (talk) 02:10, 18 August 2017 (UTC)

No, I was confusing it for the ale for which the page was on. My mistake. Thanks for pointing it out. I fixed it now. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 02:22, 18 August 2017 (UTC)

The Possessed AI type

Please recheck that the possessed uses spider ai. Afaik it uses fighter ai, which has special case for the possessed to make it climb walls without transforming. 86.115.19.146 07:16, 22 June 2017 (UTC)

Alright. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will look into it more closely. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 15:10, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
I know this is really old, but spider AI is fighter AI when there are no walls, which probably caused the confusion. —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 15:36, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, when I looked into it closer, the Spiders have two different NPCs attached to them. One while on Walls, and the other while on the ground. The NPC while on the ground is fighter, and when on walls, it is spider. The Possessed has only one NPC attached to it which has both the wall and ground. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 01:33, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Portal Gun Station Dupe

Interesting, wasn't aware of that. Is the formatting intentional as well? With the second station being to the right of the first one, instead of under it like all sub-tiles? Feawfeaw (talk) 23:09, 26 June 2017 (UTC)

I believe so. As far as I can tell, one is used for the Portal Gun to shot Blue Portals while the other is used for the Portal Gun to shoot Orange Portals. The second one is indeed to the right of the second one with its own sub-tiles that are also identical to the first ones. It therefore is treated as a separate Tile Entity like the other "cannons" on the .png file. ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 15:36, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Yeah I figured it had to do with the two portal colors. With some research, one could find out which one is which, to avoid confusion for readers. Feawfeaw (talk) 18:04, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Alright. I will look into it a little further to see which one is which. Thanks for the tip!ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 19:15, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi

Hello I see you made a new page and I want to make a new page and I'll finish it. 195.188.250.134 13:30, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello! I would be happy to collaborate in the creation of new pages; however, could you please be a little more specific? ReedemtheD3ad (talk) 19:18, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Present (Furniture)

Just a quick question: have you killed a Present Mimic yet, and if so, did it drop Present (Furniture)? (And if not, are you able to start a Frost Moon to kill one?) Thanks for looking into it! —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 15:34, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

I presume that you mean on the 3DS, correct? I have not yet killed a Present Mimic on the 3DS as I have not yet summoned the Frost Moon. I do have the ability to summon one, and when I have some time, I will test it out. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 01:33, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Forgot to clarify I was talking about 3DSNintendo 3DS version, sorry. Thanks for looking into it! —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 15:02, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Friends

Want to be "Wikia" friends? I know this is short. Most work I do is short. XxYOUTUBEMANxX, the Lord of the Pencils (talk page) 03:40, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Sure, I confirmed your request. By the way, you might want to change your signature so it doesn't look like "XxYOUTUBEMANxX, the Lord of the Pencils" is your Username. See Rules#Signatures. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 22:53, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
There we go. I fixed it. Xxyoutubemanxx (talk page) 23:44, 21 November 2017 (UTC)

Rollback

I've added the "rollback" feature to your account at Terraria Wiki. Please have a look at Help:Rollback for some important information about this tool and how it is to be used. Thanks, and feel free to contact me with any questions. Equazcion (talk) 03:17, 29 Nov 2017 (UTC)

The Guide to making money

OK, the ID of Coin Stashes is appreciated, but why did you move (most of) the Collecting section back to after Crafting? I figured that crafting stuff requires collecting the ingredients first, so I moved it upward. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 00:00, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

Huh, that is odd. I didn't think I moved it, but I look through the history and sure enough it shows me moving it. Didn't mean for that to happen. I'll fix that. Thanks for pointing that out to me! – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 00:05, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for responding so quickly. I also note an inconsistency in the page: The Coin Stash page says there are no platinum stashes, while the guide says Hardmode adds them. I have no way to test the question myself, but the latter seems dubious to me, both on balance grounds and because it would imply adding them midgame. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 00:18, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
No problem. Yeah, looking at it more closely, there is nothing in the source code to support the Platinum Coin stashes. (There aren't even any images for them!) I didn't notice that in the guide earlier. That should definitely be removed as it is false. Thanks for all the work you have been doing on the guide! – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 00:23, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Hey, it's helped me throughout my game (my character passed 30 platinum a few days ago, admittedly I'm ready for the endgame), so I help improve it further.  ;-) --MentalMouse42 (talk) 00:35, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, those guides are pretty useful. When I first started editing here, I worked on improving the Renewable Resources and Liquids Guides because they helped me out so much in my game. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 00:43, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

Bosses

Hi, I beat every boss on the ps3, including duke fishron and dungeon guardian, but is the moon lord update available on the ps3? thx 77.111.246.5 18:32, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Unfortunately no, the 1.3 desktop content update for consoles is only for the PS4 and XBox One. PS3 and XBox 360 will no longer receive major updates. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 18:40, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Slime and Blue Slime (maybe some more actually) pages "pre-release" history changed to "release"

Those changes (https://terraria.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Slime&curid=95&diff=783745&oldid=783045 and https://terraria.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Blue_Slime&curid=78&diff=781043&oldid=780192) aren't just kinda minor "formatting" changes, they change the actual version of the content introduction ("Pre-Release" changed to "Desktop-Release"). Please make sure it's the intentional and correct modification. Mislic (talk) 21:32, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

Yes these changes were intentional. In doing research, I have found out the following information: The Desktop "Pre-Release" was actually the alpha testing by the developers. The Official Release on the Desktop occurred on May 16, 2011 opening Terraria to the public. The focus of the wiki is to include the information on when the content became officially available to general players. There is no actual change to the actual history, rather it is making the information more accurate in keeping with the standards as with other platforms. Thank you for bringing up your concern to me. If you have more information about the Official Release, or have a better way of presenting the information, I am open to it. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 23:58, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

"Useless" nowiki tags in coin templates

They were used to keep the spaces at the end of the template result, since template calls trims result removing whitespace from beginning and the end. Try calling your new version with an argument and look at the result. 86.115.19.146 21:00, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Ah, ok. Thanks for letting me know. They were causing problems with our Cargo Wiki extension so I replaced them with a working alternative. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 21:27, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
Still broken, check the actual output either in Special:ExpandTemplates or in html code. 86.115.19.146 23:15, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
I see on {{Gc}} and {{Pc}}, I accidentally left extra spaces. I removed them now, so spacing should be fixed. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 23:33, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Test3 is red, the rest aren’t. —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 13:01, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Changing other people’s edits

Don’t do that, my rights r infringed Christis4realgamer (talk) 11:13, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

They actually are not infringed. When you edit a wiki, you agree to have your edits changed if they need improvements. In fact, if you think about it, it’s impossible to edit a page without editing other people’s edits. In short, Reedem is correct in reverting your edit. Do not be discouraged, however, as contributive edits are not reverted, but are encouraged. Keep on editing, and have a nice day 😃 —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 11:44, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Parser appearing in certain tables

Hi there, just wanted to let you know some template bugs (related to incomplete parsers) seem to have cropped up. It appears to be related to Template:il2cn as it appears on Statue and Planter Box, but not in the table Mushrooms (which uses il2c instead, without nolink).

I'm not sure when it started – at first it wasn't discernable in recent changes, but once I had narrowed it down to the template I checked that page and noticed you made an edit to it around 20 hours ago while also changing some plugin stuff. Is it possible you removed too many closing brackets? I'm no expert with complicated templates, so it's probably better if you check it yourself to be sure. Techhead7890 (talk) 15:33, 6 April 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing this out. Yes, I did leave out some closing brackets. I fixed it now. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 15:41, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
Excellent, thanks for the quick response and fix :) Techhead7890 (talk) 15:36, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Cargo Extension?

I'm not quite sure what the Cargo extension is, could you explain it to me? TOTORO01 (talk) 06:16, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Sure. Cargo is a MediaWiki extension that allows the storing of large amounts of data to an internal database to be queried from other pages. It's notable functions are severely cutting down large table page sizes (in bytes) such as List of weapons, and allowing data to only be updated in one location. How we have it set up here is to store data from infoboxes, so if the infobox is updated with new data, the corresponding entry on the table does not also need to be updated. If a weapon's damage was increased in a new update, we would only have to update the infobox and the table will update accordingly. You can get more details on this extension at mw:Extension:Cargo. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 06:23, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Okay, so would we need to add the |name tag to all entities without them? TOTORO01 (talk) 06:28, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Only for those with an apostrophe in the name. Cargo is currently set to take the Pagename if the name parameter doesn't exist, but it doesn't like apostrophes. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 06:43, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I will proceed to fix apostrophied names, thank you for explaining it to me. TOTORO01 (talk) 06:47, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, no problem. I already fixed Hoppin' Jack. Not sure what others there are. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 06:50, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

RedeemBot is malfunctioning

The recent edits made by RedeemBot have broken a lot of crafting infoboxes. An example can be seen at Lead Bar#Crafting. 85.76.67.21 11:24, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Yeah -- I fixed the crafting recipes for Iron Bars, then had to overwrite Westgrass's old-style arguments when he ninja'ed me.
