Venom Arrows are post-Plantera arrows used as ammunition for Bows and Repeaters. They have the highest base damage of any arrow, and when they hit an enemy they inflict the Venom debuff. Unlike many other types of arrows, Venom Arrows always break after impact and are irrecoverable.

Of all the Hardmode arrows, they are the easiest to craft, as their ingredients can both be bought from NPCs: they require only Wooden Arrows (5 each, bought from the Merchant) and a Vial of Venom (10 each, bought from the Witch Doctor), totaling 11 for 35 Venom Arrows (approximately 34 per arrow), or 335 for a full stack of 999 Venom Arrows.

Notes

• Venom Arrows have the highest base damage of any arrow in the game (tied with Cursed Arrows on PC), and while this and their debuff do make them quite powerful there are other arrows that can technically deal more damage-per-second (DPS), such as the echoing ability of Luminite Arrows, Holy Arrows stars or the defense-reducing ability of Ichor Arrows.
